I plan on visiting Las Vegas next year and would like to know more about tournament conditions, like:

1) How often do casinos deal tournaments? can you play at least one every day?

2) For how many players, typically? minimum, max?

3) buy-ins, rake, places paid, etc.

4) are sit n gos unheard of ?


Any help will be appreciated!

This will give you an idea, at least, of what is running. A lot of the smaller buy in turbo formats only get 20 or 30 players.

Most 'day time' tournaments have bad structures and a lot of night time ones do as well. Some tournaments never even take off.

IMO the best ones are at night with BI over $100. The Orleans used to have a great Friday night $250 tournament with $6-10K going to the winner around 4 in the morning.

Once you decide on your dates, search to see if a casino is holding a 'series' at the same time. Series tournaments tend to have better structures and since they are usually 'advertised' better they attract more Players. GL
