If you're playing on the strip, my favorites (unranked and in alphabetical order) are:

Aria, Bally's, Bellagio, Bill's, Caesars, Excalibur, Flamingo, Harrah's, Imperial Palace, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM, Mirage, Monte Carlo, O'Shea's, PlanetHollywood, Riviera, Sahara, Stratosphere, TI, Venetian, and Wynn.

The other strip rooms kinda suck.

Take your blindfold off before searching.

OP

for a first timer, hit Bellagio or Venetian.

If you have never been downtown (Freemont Street) it might be interesting to see the Horseshoe Poker room. There are some neat pictures on the walls of Hall of Famers and poker scenes from the past. Also the blackjack and craps is cheaper to play downtown. I would only go at night though so you can see the lights and computerized 3 block long canopy.

Bill's moved. They're like a real room in the back now. O'Shea's still has poker tables practically on the strip, though, if you're looking for that experience.
