Thought this could be useful information for those around the country who have a Pinnacle casino nearby and frequent Vegas.

Quote:
LAS VEGAS, March 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM) and Pinnacle Entertainment (NYSE:PNK) today announced a strategic marketing partnership for the companies' rewards programs -- MGM Resorts' M life and Pinnacle's mychoice(R). Beginning April 1, select mychoice members will be offered hotel stays, show tickets and other exclusive benefits at MGM Resorts' properties in Las Vegas. MGM Resorts' M life members will receive offers for hotel stays, dining and other memorable experiences at Pinnacle's properties in prominent gaming markets throughout the U.S.
I usually book all my Vegas stays through Total Rewards and play mainly there in Vegas. This is pretty intriguing to me as I have a Pinnacle casino about 10 minutes from my front door, and the closest Caesar's casino to me is 1 hour away. Before this partnership, the closest MGM casino was over 2 hours away.

Took a look at the tier levels:

Mlife:

mychoice:

I am "Avantage" through mychoice, which looks like it matches up with "Pearl" through Mlife.

If there are any Mlife players here who are at the Pearl level- what kind of room rates are you getting in Vegas?

Timing could be a bit better as I'm going to Vegas the 26-28th of this month. Oh well.

Thanks for this thread as it showed me something I didn't know. I didn't know that Pinnacle bought Ameristar. Our Star Awards program at Ameristar is tied into Mlife and we were getting pretty good room rates I think although I can't tell you what they were as we never took advantage of them and we were the lowest Star level. I'm not sure if our being to Vegas and also being Mlife sapphire members had any affect on things.

I'm at Gold (put $120K through VP at MGM, initially planned to go for Platinum) and my offers have been godawful. Something like a free room for 2 nights sun-thurs, and $10 cashback. It's an insult compared to the stuff I get from TR/Venetian/Wynn for significantly less play.

I'm pearl with mlife, and can get weekdays free but $129 on weekends. When in Colorado, ameristar blackhawk will give me 2 days free but you can not get a weekend free there. Only thing about Colorado is the $100 limit. Not sure how they rate you. Do any other states have a limit like that?

I'm in Missouri and we don't have state mandated limits.

Yeah, I've played there years ago when they had a loss limit of $500, but no limits. Where do you usually play? When I'm in the area, Hollywood is closest, but have had some good wins at argosy in the pits.
