And yea, Adam Silver showed his true colors as a leader today. He was impressive in his press conference.

"Cmon guys, aren't you tired of being treated like second-class citizens by your owner, and by the Staples Center? Have a shiny new stadium in Vegas at your disposal...."

Just pray then that Magic doesn't buy the team, because he would never leave LA.

Here's the flaw in your plan: if the NBA allowed a team to move to Vegas, it would probably come with the stipulation that betting on the NBA is no longer allowed.

Yes, pretty sure you would not be able to bet on the Clippers games in MGM properties, if they bought the team. Didn't Caesar's have some stake in the Celtics at some point? I can't remember if NBA betting wasn't allowed or just not on the Celtics.

Didn't Maloof own the Palms and the Kings at the same time?

Only couldn't bet on Celtics games. Other NBA games were fine.

I assume it was the same rule at the Palms.

Sheraton owned Caesars Palace and Madison Square Garden, and didn't allow NBA or NHL bets. League-wide.

frankly... I don't see the conflict of interest of a professional team in Vegas. impropriety can happen anywhere, including vegas

I like it; didn't realize there was that much space between the two properties. Is anything there now?

Did some Google searching and MLS said that Vegas was on a short list for an expansion city. Not exactly as big as the Clippers, but its still pro sports

Las Vegas Landsharks. Perfect name for NBA team even with gambling connections

Las Vegas Flippers probably would work well, too.

This is awesome. As is the In n out idea.

Excited to see what develops here. I think the Linq has done a lot in terms of adding a new experience to the strip and making the walking experience much more enjoyable. Given the deceptive distance between Nyny and MC, this could be similar.
