Doubt you can get onto hotel roofs, although some places have pools on the roofs.
cool thanks for the recommendations.

Going to Vegas from europe with my wife end of April beginning of May (same weekend as the Mayweather fight)
She wants to go to some shows, which are the best, thought maybe O, Blue Man Group and Penn & Teller
Anyone reccomend any other show, any reason to skip any of the three mentioned and where is the best place for cheap tickets ?

Thanks in advance

Fly through StLouis. Ditch wife at airport, go to New Orleans instead.

lol, tempting though your suggestion is, its a treat for our wedding anniversary so ditching her in St Louis isn't really an option

Those are good show choices. Each is a different kind of entertainment and you should enjoy all of them.

My knock on Blue Man Group is that it is largely the same show you can see in Boston or New York, but with a higher ticket price. And so for people who can and do see shows in those places, not worth it to see it in Las Vegas. That does not apply to you.

My knock on Penn and Teller is that I think that Penn is way too preachy. I even agree with him on a lot of his libertarian views, but I'm there for a magic show, not sociopolitical discourse. But they are talented and the show is good.

Check the box office on the Web ahead of time so that you know what prices are like. Then you can check the discount ticket windows on the Strip in the morning and judge whether waiting in line there is worth it (if they even have tickets for the show you want).

In town for convention next week. Micro-bankroll. Where, if anywhere, is there a reliable Omaha or O/8 limit game in the 3/6 or 4/8 range? Thanks.

Looking for suggestions for a late May Bachelor party - hotel to stay at.

Prefer on Strip

9 guys, thurs/fri/sat nights

3 guys per room/suite

budget is roughly $100/person per night (roughly $300/night for the room)

Considering

The Hotel - The Suite
MGM Grand - Queen Bungalow

Rooms would be for sleeping/drinking. Not planning on hosting strippers.

Would like a good pool scene and nightclub access if possible.

I have not been to LV in 2 years, where else should I be considering?

Thanks

Right. And if you run good and want to step up hit the Mirage. Just look for the AARP meeting.

Neither one of those. Closer to center-strip like Bally's or Harrah's, or maybe even Venetian if they happen to have low rates (which they won't). Mirage, maybe.

next trip to Vegas, considering staying at the Riviera. how far is it to the Wynn and Venetian? Walking distance? Any recommendations for a nicer place at similar rate (say within $20-$25/night or so). Also, only staying 1 or 2 nights so dont need the greatest place.

thanks.

That's probably about as close as you're going to get to Wynn and Venetian. Wynn is less than a mile down the strip and Venetian is only slightly further.

I'd stay at the Hilton or even the Sahara before the Riviera. It is a short walk between the three. Of course, for two nights, I'd just stay at the Wynn or the V.

Check the prices and promos at those places.

It's not that far of a walk, but it's not a very nice walk. It's urban blight and filled with toothless hookers.

Check out Casino Royale, Imperial Palace, Flamingo, and Bill's. All should have competitive prices, are closer, and the intervening space is less ghetto.

Flying in with a charter company (Allegiant Air). Flying out of Vegas at 6:35 am on a Thursday. I'm told be there 3 hours early, because everyone else in the world gets there about 2 hours before and we'll be in a huge lineup. True? True-ish?
