Restaurant question: I really like food and trying new things, and would REALLY like to take advantage of the plethora of awesome restaurants in Vegas, specifically "finer" cuisine. Problem: my wife has an EXTREMELY boring palate. She won't try new things, and most interesting, creative cuisine is wasted on her (literally, as she won't eat it). Seems like most (or at least a lot) of the new fine dining restaurants do a chefs menu or similar prix fixe that just wouldn't work with the wife. Any tips on where we can go where I can indulge and she can get some boring chicken dish?

Even the ones that don't do a prix fixe don't often have normal food that actually tastes good. I suspect you each may just have to eat alone a few times.

Botero at Encore had a really great menu of some interesting apps and sides that I think would be right up your alley. They also have their full menu online so you can check it out for yourself.

Drop her off at Applebee's and go have a nice dinner for yourself. You have my permission.

One caveat: I plan on playing at the venetian for the MTTs and cash games on a daily basis.

Group 1:
Mandalay Bay
New York New York

Note: basically same price.

Group 2:
Harrah's
Flamingo
Luxor

Note: Between $100 to $130 cheaper.

Right now I'm really leaning towards Harrah's because I heard it was a decent underrated hotel that is located walking distance from the Venetian.

I could use some pointers, do you guys agree?
Understanding that I hate Harrah's with a burning passion, my brother stayed there in September and I thought his room was quite nice.

The casino blows, and the restaurants are lousy. The location is pretty good, Probably the best of your list. I got stuck staying at the Flamingo earlier this year, and between the mold in the shower and the ginormous cockroach dancing across the lobby floor on check in and the huge percentage of slack-jawed trailer dwelling sister poking white trash staggering around.....

Hey going to Vegas with my gf for her bday Thursday through Sunday. Im 23 and shes 21 btw. Were not really into the whole club deal but just kinda like hanging out at cool bars and what not. What would be some fun places to go have drinks? Were staying at the Wynn fwiw so within stumbling distance would be nice. Thanks.

This is the major drawback of the Wynn IMO. Within stumbling distance, you've got Wynn and the Fashion Show Mall.

If you want to walk all the way down to Caesars Palace, one of my favorite non-cover bars is Shadowbar.

are there any hotels with free wifi? Will be going to vegas beetween 8-15 Dec. Is it hard to get 3 rooms that are side by side or atleast on the same floor? Also wondering, should I book directly true the hotels website or are there any sites that offer better price or promos?

where are you looking to stay? Best deals I've seen lately have been through the individual casino players clubs or smartervegas.com. the rest of your requests shouldn't be too hard but expect to pay 9.95/24 hrs for wifi.

My busto friends and I are going to vegas, possibly 4 of us. Policies on 4 persons in one hotel room, I know it'll drastically reduce my chance of sexy-time so I'm going to try my best to get them to get 2 rooms total...but in case I can't do any hotels allow more than 2 persons in a room?

Credit cards don't need PINs.

Yeah, sure, as augie mentioned, you'll be charged a slightly higher rate ($20 or so) for 4, but you'll get 4 room keys, which gives you more independence than the cheapskate alternative, which is to just check in two people and cram 4-8 into the room. (cheapskate alternative is standard for anyone under 30 IMO).

Be realistic - what are your chances of sexy time to begin with? Going from 4/room to 2/room is a big price jump, and you've got to decide whether the extra money you pay is going to be worth the extra nookie you anticipate, especially since you're self-described as busto.

You're probably not going to spend the whole night with anyone you bring up anyway, so 4 to a room and a tie on the doorknob is probably going to be the best compromise. Assuming your name refers to your birth year, chances are 90% of the foreplay's happening on the dance floor anyway.

flying tomorrow, still got a few questions:
1. where are good party locations (rock or "normal" music, no black music/house/techno please)? When do I have to be there to get in relatively fast, is a t-shirt and a jeans okay or what do you wear? (I'm from europe)
2. Where would you play nl200 on the strip (=where is it fishy?)
3. what are the sickest things that I can do in vegas? have heard sth of bungejumping inside a hotel tower. any suggestions?
thanks in advance
4. I would like to go shopping, which place do you suggest (I am looking for "normal" stuff, no d&g etc stuff)? Have heard of Venetians, or just luxurious stuff there?

Luckily here we don't have segregation and black people and other races listen to and make the same types of music. They even hang out in the same places believe it or not! I know, crazy!
