Best places to enjoy a cigar on the strip and on Fremont? I hate bothering people with my smoke. The place at Ceasars is on my list to check out already.

Rhumbar at the Mirage is pretty great, never smoked there myself, only drank, but they seem to have a good range of cigars and the drinks are excellent.

Neither one of us can recall seeing an indoor pool anywhere in Vegas, just outdoor ones.

Thanks in advance,

I know there is an indoor pool at a La Quinta that is just off of the strip on Tropicana...but I don't think that's what you had in mind.

I recently ate at the Circus Circus steakhouse. Food arrived and the server asked if I'd like anything else. I asked for some mustard and the server paused as I expected him to reel out 'English, French, Wholegrain, Dijon...' etc. But no, he looked a bit perplexed and said he wasn't sure of they had any but he'd take a look. A few minutes later he returns with a 1/4 full small jar of Dijon saying this was all that they had.

Not being a US resident, is this an american thing not to have mustard with steak?
To me it's as standard as ketchup with fries.

Im not even Murican but I rarely see someone eat a steak with mustard. Thats in the US or in Europe. Im going to have a wild guess that a wide majority does not eat their steak like that, there are lots of other spices, seasonings or sauces you may apply to a steak. Else, it's always the same with certain seasonings, sometimes they are available, sometimes not. If you have special requirements ask in advance.

Thanks for replies. I'm surprised. I thought it was standard across the world.

I'm not really sure what else you'd have with mustard apart from steak or beef.

Well that's a good thing about travel; it makes you more worldly wise

McDonalds puts mustard on their hamburgers; does that count?

Either way, how many restaurants don't have mustard to serve with something else. I always thought that all American restaurants have mustard so I guess you got their one jar. LOL

In Murica mustard is or can be placed on any sandwich; tuna, turkey, ham, beef, pork, hot dogs, sausage,... but not steak.

Of course, according to John Travolta the Dutch put mayonnaise on their french fries causing no small amount of consternation to the Heinz family who of course have sold out .

Mustard can go with just about every deli sandwich. Just not steak.

Question for the TotalRewards experts:

We are a group of 6 guys and each of us has a TotalRewards Card.
When I try to book online, I can only add one companion.

Is there any way to combine all 6 #´s to get the ultimate best rates?

Three rooms, two guys each should work then?
Or are you looking to get a suite to sleep everyone?

no. does adding a companion actually reduce rates?

in theory it should, right? The whole goal is to balance cash revenue from selling the room vs gaming revenue from comping it. If I can see that I've got six $100 players in the room, that should be more-or-less the same to me (the casino) as one $600 player. In fact it's probably better because I'll have more upside for return trips (each of them might spend a weekend here on a cash basis with his girl) and during this trip I'm getting 6x the ancillary food revenue, Starbucks revenue, etc.

But in practice, I'd be shocked if hotel booking systems can handle more than two IDs (and if they do, I'd guess they just take the max value customer and give a rate accordingly).

There is a good chance you can add extra cards to the room on arrival. While this will not get you lower rates (which I'm guessing even adding 1 person ahead of time will also not do), you may be more likely to get some of the room charges refunded on the back end, when checking out, if the extra guys have given the house a lot of action on their cards.

Yes. It does. We go to Vegas a lot around GF's birthday which is first week of November which I believe is when the SEMA (or one of the big conventions) show is in town.

Most times if I try to book with just my card, I don't get comped rooms. But if I add the companion card, the rate calendar changes and we have gotten comped rooms for that week.

As to the original question. You can only add 1 companion. I would just call if you have six and want some sort of suite. If you want 3 rooms, just pair up and see what you can get.

Are you guys sure you are getting better rates than your companion would, alone? They might just be giving you the better of the two offers.

Yes, I can confirm that combined can be better than separate for either party.

Hello.
Where can I find out best information/strategy for parking in downtown. I m in town from now to new year. Probably wanna drive to downtown once or twice to use my comps and play poker. Last time I been there, I was lucky enough that horseshoe was not charging for parking (it was a Monday night). Any ideas/suggestions?
