I'd settle for a sample size of one, was wondering if anyone here would have been in Vegas for the 2012 election. Assuming I'll be able to find somewhere I can follow the results, drink and cheer on whoever seems the least crazy option?

Your hotel room if you want audio. Any casino/bar/public area with a TV if you don't.

Don't want to start a new thread for this. Do Stud8 cash games exist in Vegas? Would play anything 5-10 or lower. Bravo never seems to have anything showing.

Nothing like that goes regularly. There may be a low limit S8 game at Suncoast one night a week.

it's not a special event here. I seem to recall the Democrats & Republicans had viewing parties somewhere but other than that there are no special events.

Bellagio is generally the place to find decent Limit games.

General delivery is available at multiple USPS offices in LV.

Here's one. Here's another.

Just search on usps website for locations near the desired area, then check the services offered for general delivery.

-I believe Bellagio buffet only has king crab on Friday/Saturday. Unsure about Aria. Would also check with Caesars.
-I went to the Bally's Exorbitant brunch a few years back. Buffet lobster underwhelmed; they claimed to have caviar but I could not find it at the buffet.

Have it sent to the business office at Ballys to your attention. Pick up from 9-6 any day. Solved.

Unfortunately neither Orleans nor any Stations casinos get holdem games bigger than 4/8 limit.

Quick question:

Going to vegas in the summer - been quite a few times, but as a Canadian the exchange rates are somewhat underwhelming. I play some poker, but for the most part like to degen it up. I'm looking to get a casino marker or thirty to take a bite out of the money I lose to the bank in exchange.

I have CET comped rooms and the majority of mLife properties - is it just a matter of submitting the online application to the specific casinos I'm looking to gamble at? I presume there are minima for each property, and I'm more established at certain casinos - pretty much random depending on how I drunkenly spend my money. Is there a benefit to applying to a casino I'm more established at?

I could only find one thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/10...arkers-401267/) and it's old and not very helpful.

Are markers easy to get with good credit? I assume you pay back markers at the end of the trip and can completely avoid exchange rates like this? Do they set up payment plans or expect full payment at the end of your stay?

They will look at your credit and your average bank account balance over the past few months. The minimum marker is as low as $500 at some properties. It's really easy to get a few thousand, super convenient for the reasons you've mentioned, and the application process only takes 2-3 days. At least at CET you can fill out the application online, probably MGM properties too but I haven't done it. Be aware that the properties tend to be independent, so you won't be able to access a Flamingo marker from PH, for example. They usually will expect full repayment within 30 days.

What Thousand Tigers said

You can mostly apply online but you will have to sign stuff at the cage or credit office when you get there. NBD. And I don't think there's an easier line of credit to get in the world, but then again it's not exactly a line of credit. They will check your bank balances and (probably) ask for a canceled check, and when you sign a marker what you're actually signing is a check from your own bank account that they will deposit if you don't pay it back when your trip is over.

No interest or exchange rate though right? Seems like a decent idea for internationals.

$500 seems like a really low marker for them to even waste their time on. If they approve these based on bank balances, most people would just withdraw this from an ATM. I imagine the minimum marker would be closer to $5K.

Has anyone had any decent comps offered based on the marker youve reserved?

yeah I've heard minima range from 5k (the ballys type hotels) to like 20k for the wynn and the like

I've also heard lines of credit get you more 'in the know' when it comes to comps and special events

Minimum marker is $500 everywhere I've seen. Not the minimum credit line (no idea what that is). No interest (assuming you pay it off in 30 days), don't know about exchange rate.

I'm amazed that they would go as low as $500. Would have thought $5k would be the minimum.

Don't know if you're reading what I said correctly. $500 is the minimum marker that you can take out at the table. There might be a higher minimum for the entire line of credit. I've taken out $1-2k markers many times.

Comps and markets are mutually exclusive. Comps come from marketing/casino host staff and are generated based on total losses.

Markers/credit (for all properties) are determined by a third party company (whether Caesars or MGM, etc.) called Central Credit or Casino Credit. Can't remember exact name. Credit or marker amount is based on average balance in your checking account over a 6-12 month period. It is not a credit decision however, often an Experian soft credit pull occurs as well.

The smallest credit/marker granted in $500. It's meant to be a convenience. The upside is to allow higher tiered members to avoid fees to withdraw cash (ATM is $7.95 and cash advances at cage is even more pricy.) I am a Seven Stars player - I'm speaking in full/part from my own experiences. I have no Fee's or interest charges for taking a marker.
