This turned into a giant thing when they attempted to bring Anthony Curtis on board to promote his coupon book or whatever it was and banned Jay the first time. Mistakes may have been made in monetizing this site in the past, so advertising revenue is pretty important to the powers that be, especially since Black Friday. I fully agree with your stance and feel that Jay and KingBB provided quite a lot to the forums.

But at the end of the day, it's not my decision to make or my bank account that may or may not be affected. I'm pretty sure most 2+2 regs don't even see any ads on the internet, let alone click on them though.

It was asked before what the standard tip is (because tipping is so common in USA and foreigners arent used to the concept or standards) and Jay said several times he didnt expect tips and he was happy helping out 2p2 members for free.

Some people tipped, others didnt. Either way JayLV never asked or said anything about it and always helped those who asked. I read lots of people owned up to not tipping Jay by accident and he still only had good things to say about them.

I only met Jay by chance in Las Vegas which was how I managed to tip him. All of our corospondence was by phone or email. If I hadnt of ran into him I probably wouldnt have gotten a chance to give him a tip and his services wouldve been completely free.

Jay arranged 2 nights out (coulve been 3) for my group, getting us tables at Pure and XS where we had a great night and were treated really well. I ran into Jay late that night at XS where he said he was with some other friends. Whether or not Jay actually showed up to meet me in the hopes of getting a tip I'm not sure, but its a pretty high variance play because he didnt call me beforehand and it was pretty late, I couldve easily left by then or just not tipped him anyway.

No doubt Jay likes and hopes to get tips, but he never asked for it and only discussed it in his thread or while organising anything and he only talked about tips when asked in his thread

Would like to hear from the mods what made them come to this (seemingly random and out of the blue) decision

You're using 2+2 to drive profits. They want a cut. Not completely unreasonable of them.

Quick Vegas club question.
I've been to Tao and Tryst before on what I'd call 'standard' bar nights, house DJ, no big name DJ. Our next vegas trip we are probably going to go to XS or Marquee to see one of the big names. At Tao and Tryst, both times we did bottle service, mainly so we'd have somewhere to sit and relax and also so we didn't have to deal with any waiting in line BS. Assuming that we get tickets in advance, but are not doing bottle service this time, should we have any worries about getting in, bribing doormen or any other line BS issues? Or if you get tix in advance is it a pretty quick and easy process to get in?

I'd suggest asking Jay in his thread...

...oh wait.

And I'd like to know exactly what advertisers Jay and BB were undercutting around here. Seems to me they got hosed.

This.

I was banned due to unrelated events or would have started one already.

It is my understanding JayLV was banned before and was brought back. Can this be possible once again?

For the record, I asked BBKing for assistance and not the other way around. He ended up saving me hundreds of dollars.

ETA: Following is from ECO74 on the hotel comp thread:

Sklansky then sent him a pretty unprofessional (IMO) reply telling him that his response made him feel even better about banning him, and then basically told him off. BB got hosed.

led by some casinos in Las Vegas. I would like to form a “Watchdog Group” that advocates for live poker players.

The vision would be a organized group that will contact casinos, media outlets, lobby the state gaming control board, and state legislators to review and reform current regulations that pertain to live poker.

I believe as a group that is passionate and vocal about the issues affecting the industry we will make a difference. We can implement similar tactics that the PPA uses to create awareness on topics that concern us.

If any one is interested in participating please contact me.

If you are going to XS on a night with a big DJ I suggest you get there by 10pm at latest if you don't have a table....people start lining up at 9pm on nights where Tiesto, Avicii, etc...

If I am going to book the poker room rate through Aria, do I just need to book a room as normal or go through the poker host that is been posted on here?

I've gotten away with finding the cheapest online rate, then talking to the poker host afterwards. She then knocked off an extra $20/night, telling me next time to email/call her directly.

Shop around and see what's cheapest.

Just email Kathleen the poker host.

I think Total Rewards is on a rolling 6 month expiration and Mlife is changing tomorrow(Oct 1)to have a set expiration date of Oct 1 for tiers and points. I'd link to the mlife site but I'm having issues trying to get to it. Anybody surprised the mlife site might not be working properly?

So I'm assuming that poker room comps are considered the same as Tier Points/Reward points? They don't seem to be listed on my profile at all and I remember that at the desk they said something like the poker room deals with the comps themselves.
