We are "goin in" may 17-20.

Looking at staying at PH Tower Westgate.

Does anyone know how accessible it is from the front door of the main PH casino?

Also, if anyone else has reccommendations for hotels for 12 guys for a bachelor party, fire away.

Going to Vegas tonight and staying at Caesars. I'm going to need internet. Does anyone know how much it will cost per day in the room? If my room is already comped will they knock off this charge too or prob not? My other option is to turn my Verizon phone into a 4G Mobile Hotspot. Anyone know if there is 4G access with Verizon inside Caesars? Thanks.

Not sure about the 4G. I'm here now and Internet is $14.99 for 24 hours in your room only.

Yeah that's pretty steep considering I'm there for a week. I think I'll just pay Verizon $30 to turn on the mobile hotspot. Thanks!

Since it's you're first time... If you aren't going to have a car, there is a free shuttle from the Rio to the center strip CET hotels. I think it runs from 10am-midnight. The walk from the Rio to the strip is a lot longer than it looks.

I am thinking of going for the second time to vegas with 2 friends this time, last time it was mostly poker and then I had to travel to Cali to meet up with friends.

I am planning on staying in the Flamingo,(cheapest thats a decent location) 27th Feb to 5th March, will it be busy then?
Also this is pretty much gonna be a drinking session for the week, 3 Irish guys,
Where is the best place to get hammered during the daytime that is lively and not too expensive?

Staying 14 - 16th, want to share a room with a friend and his girlfriend. Best options for a separate bed room so they can do their thing? I'm fine w/ a couch or fold-out bed.

Get a room with 2 beds...Don't be in the room while they bang...Or sit in the corner and watch...YMMV

Hi guys,

i just went through the AVP.com tournaments list and i was looking to find the tourney with the best value, as i just wanted to play one live tourney for fun and the rest of my stay keep cashgames running.

After working down the list, it seems that the BEllagio $330 would be the one with the best value. regarding buyin and first place prizes. Can someone comment on tournaments value and softness please.

Thanks. I really appreciate it.

1) Last year I stayed at Circus Circus with some friends. This time I want to stay at Imperial Palace as it seems to be fairly cheap. Should I expect the same kind of hotel with better location?

2) I want to play Poker and maybe some table games at a few different different casinos. Is the best way to go to ask for a player card as soon as I enter the casinos?

3) Ok I decided to put $100 on red, do I have to show or give someone my players card beforehand? How does it work with table games?

3) I want to see Downtown too. What do I say to the cab driver? Just "Downtown" or is there a specific place to drop-off or anything?

I think Circus Circus is more directed towards families and IP more to gamblers adn couples that want to have a cheap sleep at the strip.

2) I want to play Poker and maybe some table games at a few different different casinos. Is the best way to go to ask for a player card as soon as I enter the casinos?

They have a special counter were you can get them. All Harrahs hotels have Total Rewards card, all MGM resorts have the M Card and Wynn, Venetian have their own thing.
Different casino you would be better off staying at one brand as you otherwise need more cards.

3) Ok I decided to put $100 on red, do I have to show or give someone my players card beforehand? How does it work with table games?

hand it over before the bets to the dealer.

3) I want to see Downtown too. What do I say to the cab driver? Just "Downtown" or is there a specific place to drop-off or anything?

Downtown? you wanna see freemont street experience?, Golden Nugget?, then I would go to freemont street.
Why take the cab? I love to ride on "The Deuce".

Hope it helps

Thanks MikePez!

1) Yeah I saw many families there. Probably >50% were Mexicans. Is this standard at cheap places?

2) I thought about playing everywhere for a bit. Just so that I maybe get better rates/deals in the future for all the different brands... Would you still recommend that I focus on one the casino brands?

3) ok thanks

4) Yes I wanna see the "old" Vegas. I thought "Downtown" was the right word for it.... Thanks, I will go to Freemont Street.

1) I think Excalibur and Circus Circus are those family hotels, but not sure if they are the only ones like that on the strip. IP, Bally, Harrahs, Flamingo i dont think they are family resorts so bad.
But havent stayed at any of those yet.

2) depends on the stakes you play. if you just want better rates why not go for a poker room rate if your willing to play everyday a few hours? most hotels do offer those.
on the other hand if you just play some nl200 or a tourney you wont be collecting much to be comped for the next time you go there. you might be better off just playing one brand and getting a free buffet from your comp points if you have played enough.

1. More or less. They're both dumps. IP will have less disgusting children running around.

2. Go to the desk and get a card.

3. When buying in, give them your card. You don't have to though.

4. You need to name a hotel you would like to go to. "Downtown" or just Fremont Street will be too vague. Golden Nugget is a good central drop-off point.
