Still in the new location though . No renovation until march

New location:
Good: easy access to TAP, view of Hakkassan crowd

Bad: not renovated... So not nearly as nice as old room.
What happens with the room in March?

It is true I was there during the tourney- which continues for another week, but I find it difficult to say where is tough or not because so much depends who you get at your table.

Wynn seems like a great starting point for a poker evening. If the table is out of your depth, go across the street to Venetian, then Bellagio with tram to Aria.

curious...you playin 20/40 & 40/80 limit...taking a shot? sure can't play that big around here..so how do you have experience at those stakes?

or just playin cuz ya can?
I enjoy limit because I played it for years before ever playing NL. I think playing stakes or games that you cannot find in your hometown is part of the Vegas experience. So, like you suggested I am just playing because I can.

Was told that in March / April the room goes under 4 week renovation

Room will temporarily move to another spot (speculation: in front of Ka where the tournaments are held)

And the current location will become the permanent home

HOWEVER, after all this back and forth, I will only believe it when I see it.

Yeah I've played there plenty and haven't noticed it to be particularly different than other places.

Or just walk, since it's faster.

I think people mean not so much harder, but mistakes are costlier since the max is higher and you play so deep

That's possible, but when I've played there I'm typically one of the very few buying in for the full $1500 at 2/5.

Orleans also has a 1/3. You gotta take a cab tho. Most days get 2+ tables.

This makes me constantly feel like I'm going to accidentally knock over my beer and spill it all over the table.
Venetian has cup holders built into the table. IIRC the Wynn has plastic cup holders that slide under the rail. Bellagio and Aria have nothing, so as to get that crusty felt feeling.

i find that to be odd.

so...i'm supposed to play higher stakes than normal for the "vegas experience" i'm being told...guess i'll short buy @ the 1/3 game. LOL

Don't you know aria was built before cup holders were invented?
