The hammer might be coming. Gov has Covid press conference today at 4pm and yesterday the 25 LV area libraries announced they were closing this coming Wednesday until 1/4/21.

No hammer at all.

Existing restrictions extended a few more weeks. Once the vaccine starts shipping and Biden gets sworn in, COVID will soon be a distant memory

I hope so because after listening to Bill Gates say we have a chance to get back to normal in the next 12-18 months, I’m not exactly super optimistic.

It will take time to return fully to 'normal', of that there is no doubt. That doesn't mean that the situation doesn't get better as we move to an improving phase rather than a worsening or stagnant phase. As things get better so restrictions will gradually be lifted, its not just pressing a switch and seeing everything normalize overnight.

It's also worth remembering that whilst 1st world countries will have sufficient vaccines for their populations within maybe 12 months, it will take the rest of the world significantly longer to return to normal. As the world is so interconnected, 'normal' doesn't really return until it returns everywhere.

Even if you’re right, CNN certainly doesn’t agree with that take so they had him on and took him seriously.

He isn’t the only person I’ve seen say that returning to normal could take a while. I’ve seen talk of having to wear masks and social distance for longer than 18 months.

lol, yeah, it went over my head the first read. ... was not sure how to read that so I took it literally.. This is LVL, who the f*ck always know when someone else is kidding or not.
