Are you kidding me? Mike Matasow deserves much of the credit for the poker boom as anybody except maybe Moneymaker. He made tv poker entertaining. Not like the kids today who play with the 2 minute tanks with 7/3 off as a “level”.
Son, you trippin if you think there arn’t people who want the glory days of televised poker back with some of the big personalities.
I guess. I played poker before the "poker boom" I like playing the game not so much the celebrity aspect. I'm not starstruck by the poker names. I see Erik Seidel all the time in NYC. I've never thought of getting his autograph or anything like that. So I can't relate.

Yep. And Mike wears his heart on his sleeve. He may have opened up quite a bit with the right prompting. A lot of us are interested in how things have changed for these guys. They were larger than life and its interesting/educational to see how they play and live now.
Heck Barry G will run it more than once now. Actually, he prefers it.
And Boski is fully aware of all of this. In fact, if anyone dares comment about it on his vlogs, he removes them.
This is true, fwiw.
Big fan of Boski..always have positive comments about him here and in his vlogs. Then I made one negative comment about ACR (truly the nut low of all on-line poker sites, open to Americans) and he disposed of me like a $5 whore.

did you stop playing poker then when the poker boom started? if not, even though you are too cool for school and don't care about these guys, you lost definitely benefited from them making the game popular.
I've changed my mind on TheTrooper97. I will no longer simply watch his vlogs and relax for a moment, I am going to look for any possible/perceived flaw in his person. I will from here forth start with this thesis: he is clearly the most horrible person in the entire world...no, universe...no multiverse.
He exercises, but when he does, it's the wrong way.
He doesn't exercise, he's a lazy slob.
He wins at poker, he's lucky.
He losses at poker, he's is absolutely the worst player in the multiverse.
He dates someone, that person must have lost their mind.
He is single, no one likes him, he's an *******.
He doesn't travel, he's a one dimensional jerk who doesn't know anything about the world.
He does travel, he never sees the right things or places.
He doesn't drink or do drugs, he's an uptight POS.
He does drink coffee, he's an addict.
He complains about service, what a jerk.
He compliments service, .......
I am going to start posting multiple time a day, the same things over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and....
Eventually I will have LITERALLY hundreds of posts saying the same thing again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again....
*(Foatie, love your style. Gotta say, though, your post about ganja destroying the ego is BS. Can't tell you how many times I've heard an alcoholic or drug addict friend say those exact same words. I have no problem with smoking weed and think drugs should be legal and regulated {**** the war on drugs and private prisons owned and run by soulless sociopaths}, but being able to step back and look deeper into life and oneself is a result of simply making the decision to do so and is accentuated and made more profound by difficult circumstances. Alcohol and weed consumed occasionally are a nice bit of life's fun. For example, going out to Saturday night dinner and having a glass of wine or chilling on the weekend with a friend and lighting one up.
This is a derail, but, what is with the people who get out of work and within minutes are toking in their car, every day. They get home and light up some more. They eat and then have another before bed, every fricking day. All I hear from people who do this is, "You don't understand. Weed can't hurt you. Weed makes you a better more awesome person." They are ****ing addicts, period.

I don't think its about being starstruck. I'd never ask anyone for an autograph and would never even approach them just to say whatever people say when they run into a celebrity. I don't really know what is tho. Maybe that poker is essentially a level playing field and we get the chance to play with the best on rare occasions.
I've heard a lot of negative stuff about TJ. However, when I get on a table with him, which is not hard because he plays a lot of tournaments in my area, I will usually say something respectful. I guess maybe its respect for success and longevity in the game? Its more important to me than the fact that he is accused of being a degenerate gambler.

Video was 12 minutes and every time I skipped ahead the first 10 minutes he kept talking about his diet. Poker was maybe a minute and all we got was a bad beat story.

.
It’s extremely common for people that rarely exercise to make significant mistakes when they do get around to exercising.
However I don’t think his choice of exercises is that bad, although I don’t get why he has dumbbell curls as his second exercise (even before his back exercises). Is it because building those biceps is that important to him? If that’s not it then I don’t get it.
