nobody makes $200/hr at 1/2 without running hot. I imagine it was a combination of getting big hands & troopers usual suckout strat of backraising allin with KQs or something because he just knew his opponent was bluffing and got there

Nice to see Trooper with a big win. He definitely has the ability to crush 1/2-1/3 in town. The games are that soft. Hopefully whatever blocks he had preventing him from killing these games are gone and he can continue to win with his newfound ambition.

His comments on his diet in this vlog were telling. He basically said that he is going to do his own variation of the carnivore diet, and add in some vegetables and fruit. He essentially just gave himself license to do whatever he wants now and call it a diet. Now no matter what happens, he will be successful because he was doing the "Trooper Carnivore Diet". He is failing before he starts.

Second, he says that the diet hasn't officially started, so he was going to get a spicy chicken sandwich at Wendys...

This Trooper "diet" thing doesn't look like it's going anywhere.
For real life, having some vegetables in his diet will make it more balanced and make it more realistic for him to do and possibly even maintain past 30 days. Although it will be more boring for the vlog. People want to see extreme stuff so they would want to see him eating 100& meat! Also, the fruits have tons of carbs and will pretty much kill any idea of a low carb diet.

Overall, meat, veggies, and fruits is still a step up for him because he would eliminate all those pop tarts, breads, buns, french fries, and other empty carbs that he consumes like crazy. It's all relative so if he eats those three categories, he will see some weight loss results.

I agree that his "diet" will keep changing till it matches his current food consumption. He will introduce cheat days and find other loopholes that make it impossible to fail but it will be cheating. Typical Trooper.

Also, why is he eating fast food on the supposed eve of his diet. I understand doing a last meal for the cameras and stuff but go for some good quality food and not a cheap fast food burger. He might have a heart attack before he even starts his diet...if he ever starts it.

Why does he even bring up starting a diet in the vlog if he constantly fails to follow thru? I don't understand why he puts himself out there all the time to simply fail right off the bat and look like a loser. Why Trooper?

He's not making $50 an hour hosting the game. People throw ridiculous numbers out there with no backing and make assumptions based on these. Please stop. If you have a source, mention it. If not, don't pull numbers out of the sky.

If he put in the hours that he puts into vlogging into a dealing job, he would definitely have way more money today. Even if you don't factor in the money he loses playing poker for the vlog. If you factor that in too, he's definitely making more by dealing because every hour dealing is an hour less that he is losing money at the tables.

But he seems to get some personal/mental value from not having a boss to report to even if the vlog is pretty much dictating his life, hours, and to do list every single day. But Trooper gonna Troop.

He needs to turn his attention to the sensor of his camera. Those dust spots are insane.

No fruit and no veggies? LOL awesome diet

If Trooper or anyone else with a similar lifestyle/eating habits ate a diet with no processed foods and lots of fruit and veg there would be dramatic health improvement across the board.

His results have always been streaky. This is nothing new. That’s probably more than he won at 1-2 NL in the last year.

Your once again just making crap up and posting walls of text-I happen to know that he makes quite a lot more than that at those games....it is of course dependent on the number of tables, and now that it’s down to one table it may be in that range but your ignorance is showing.....

He did it again last night. His instagram has a picture from shake shack with double cheeseburger with crinkle cut fries. Trooper made sure to put in the caption that the 'Diet hasn't started yet...'

People that really are interested in a diet do it for health reasons. That means, they don't keep pushing out the date of the diet and eating awful food right up until the diet starts. To stick to a diet, it takes a lifestyle change and discipline, which I doubt Trooper possesses.

Do people really think that Trooper is going to wake up every day at 1 pm, cook a nice healthy meal of meats and fresh cut veggies, THEN prep another meal in tupperware with bags of carrots, fruit etc to lug around the strip?

My guess is that he lasts less than a week before he is justifying eating dirt dog or some other greasy gunk on the strip, saying that the 'Trooper carnivore diet' is more meant for his house, and he can eat whatever he wants on the strip. "Plus, hot dogs are meat, the bun comes from wheat which is a grain which is kind of like a vegetable, and both ketchup and mustard come from vegetables."

If Trooper wrote a book called The Trooper Diet, what would be the over/under on how many copies he would sell (print-on-demand) at $20 retail?

It probably shouldn't be a serious book. Should be written with humor and in such a way that the reader (who would also be a regular vlog viewer) would definitely know that it was written by Trooper in terms of how it is written.

There should obviously be some disclaimer to avoid liability risk for the author.

In terms of content it would probably mostly be a review book about Dirt Dog, Starbucks, Earl of Sandwich, Pollo Loco, IKEA cinnamon rolls, etc. written in a very Trooper manner: praises, complaints, how he would do it if he were running the place, some profanity.

I think it would sell well. On the cover it could have endorsements from Neeme, Jaman, MrDucks, and so on.

I think it would do just as well as Barry Greenstein's book.

It's really disappointing that Trooper is the only person to ever talk about going on a diet and then not start said diet.

Thank goodness for the rest of the world that hits the gym every day, diets every day and wins every day. Trooper is basically just a vlog of failure for the rest of the perfect world to laugh at.

I really have no idea where my local poker room gets all the overweight people to buy those cheeseburgers, it's good to know I'm not playing against anyone from 2+2!

Daaaaaayaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!!!! Trooper stackin you fools for almost $2K and he mentions it like an afterthought at the end of the video with little fanfare on his part. Like it happens every day. True player. Reminds me of this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IphR3A64VI

The difference between Trooper and a regular person, is that your average Joe might tell a couple friends and family members that they are undertaking a diet.

Trooper broadcasts his intention to diet to his 30,000 subscribers (although only about 5-10k actually watch), and has this big buildup to this life changing diet, and literally talks about his upcoming diet while scarfing down a double cheeseburger. You know, because the diet hasn't started yet.

I don't really care what Trooper does or doesn't do with his diet. The problem that people, including myself, generally have is when people are disingenuous.

He should have included Hellmuth's name in the title.

His vlog with Hellmuth has 400K view.
