I bring 5k+ to play 1/2 all the time. You never know when it will go down in the DM.

I was thinking the same thing.. but really do you think the average Trooper viewer/hat wearer is going beyond 1? 1-5 percent max.

I don't think you guys are understanding, I have 1k on me at times but I drink sometimes with friends and am always down to have fun. Troop is playing cards and eating on comps, if he has 1k it's only going into the game. That's going into the game expecting to get 3-5 buyins deep, that's crazy to me

I've been in town all week for the holiday and am up 1700 playing here and there with the tourist.

Trooper just sucks at poker. No other way to say it.

I like how he indicates "I've been up for xx hours. I'm so tired." Dude, everyone that works a normal job is up 14-18 hours a day. You're not any different.

Yeah there's literally no excuse for this at all at 1/2 unless your sole strat consists of bluffing nearly every hand until you suckout to win some of it back. These games are limps fests, in fact it's downright irritating at times how difficult it can be to get stacks in, even measly 50BB shortstacks. The fact that he can somehow engineer a circumstance to lose 500BB at 1/2 on a regular basis mystifies me.

Would you rather lose $700 that brought with you on absolute coolers and either have to leave the game or pay absurd ATM charges to corporate America OR have more money in your pocket so you can stay and get unstuck?

What if you play $1/$2 regularly, but the $1/$3 game looks soooooper soft?

Yes I would rather leave down 700 after coolers. 700 is plenty to play 1/3

$700 isn't even two buyins at $1/$3.

I wish I was half as good as all the crushers in this thread. How do I even win $1 with you guys playing?

He was playing 1/2, he had 1000. That's 3 plus buy ins.. Stay on point papaw, there wasn't a chance the 1/3 game was going to be super soft because there wasn't a 1/3 game.

I was in my game for $820 Saturday night. Lost to two sets with TPTK and another time with top two pair. It happens. I was down $630. I crawled back to finish up $264. Can't do it if I don't have money in my pocket.

I have neither the time nor the energy to do any of the above.

I'd bet Neeme and others are carrying more than 3 bullets to the casino every night.

Ok now tell us about all the times you were down 600 and reached for 400 more and left down 1k+.

Yeah but I dont think this is where trooper is losing. I'm pretty sure even he doesnt write it off as coolers, he just assumes everyone else is playing worse than him making bad calls.

Sure it happens.

But poker is a job and I have to put in hours. It all evens out in the long haul.

I don't think $1k is enough for a 1-2 game. However I think Trooper should bring less than that because of his tilt issues.

If it all evens out how do you make money long term? You're always catching up to zero or falling back to it.

If I put in hours I will show a profit. My hourly is my hourly and while it isn't world class it is good enough for me for now.

I initially included the 8/1 VLOG but that was actually included in last month's total (7/31 session). Had I included that one his total profit for August would have been $1,297, the exact amount he won in his monster session. As it stands, he made $5 more than that. I was actually shocked that he had a winning session this month. Good job Trooper!

Trooper has started September off on a bad foot. In two sessions he is down $809.

DC, I understand what you did is a tremendous amount of time and effort, ... (ty).

Question: It appears you are going by the "publish date" and not the date Trooper flashes at the beginning of the vlog ?

It appears you are not including the August 1st "publish date" for August cause that was included in July ? (Kind of against formula). If so, I'm thinking you should revise July, August to be consistent.

I am shocked Trooper had a winning August !

TBH, I didn't even realize that Trooper flashed the date on his vlog. I suppose i've tuned that out because it's of absolutely no importance to me when I watch the vlog.

Since you told me, I have changed the column in my spreadsheet to "Date Published" rather than "Vlog Date". That being said, I think the most important thing is that the #s are not repeated, and that is the case. I will consider using the session date in the future but I can't promise that. This month's data covers all the sessions in August. It appears nicname compiles his as he watches the vlogs and if that is the case then he will be able to verify accuracy.

Now that I have a template to do so I should be able to easily just add these to my spreadsheet as I watch the vlogs.
