Even this tilts me, because in his HU game he boasts about how he folded AA face up which is a passive aggressive way of demonstrating how good he thinks he is, which is no different than openly discussing strat in the first place.

Guy is quite likeable, so I may watch some more in the future.

Is he playing the Vloggers game?
I'm sure he'd be welcome to play but I doubt his accommodations would be paid for like some of the other guys just because he doesn't have as much of an audience. Maybe I'm wrong and Stones will get him a room too. I think he'd be a decent addition to the line up.

Trooper is an introvert IMO so he would probably just ignore the offer or say something like "Hmm, interesting" and then pretend the offer was never made. I seriously doubt he should show up.

He likes to have the same routine day after day. Hanging out somewhere with people he doesn't know would interfere with the routine that he feels comfortable with.

It's just a weird internet phenomenon.

There are a lot of unhappy people who feel better about themselves when they're bashing other people, especially when they can find a like-minded group and a perceived easy target. It's like middle-school bullying. You can see folks in this thread who use this guy trooper as a human pinata on a daily basis. It's just part of their everyday routine.

The anonymity of the internet and these forums allows them to do what would be socially unacceptable anywhere else.

I have a hard time believing Tim but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt so in the interest of not wanting to call him a liar about his clean laundry being on the floor: this is how you prevent that issue for $8

1. Buy a plastic bin from target for $8.
2. Do laundry.
3. When laundry is finished drying and you don't feel like putting it away DO NOT PUT IT ON THE FLOOR!!! Leave dry laundry in dryer, it's less likely to collect dust, see pic below:

Step 3 is imperative to success! Do not disobey step 3.

4. Grab that bin we bought from Target and use it to put your clean clothes in that you don't feel like putting away so as to make room in the dryer for your current load of wash that needs to dry.

5. Now your clothes won't be collecting dust of the floor and you'll look much more organized and put together for a little bit of money.

For the record: I don't believe for one second that Tim or any other adult human being who has places to put away clean clothes are putting clean clothes on the carpet, I simply don't buy it. I do know lots of adults that put their dirty clothes on the floor/in a corner/ closet floor instead of a hamper. It's not a big deal all in all and it's a weird thing to lie about, but pretty obviously isn't true.

In his mind he is not a slob if he says they were clean.

yep, its fascinating to watch. I find strange enjoyment following the discussion here for some reason & even start to find myself pulled into hating on the guy even though I virtually never watch his vids

And sadly doesn't understand that it is so much less slobby and more understandable if they are dirty? Like who takes clean clothes off the floor and puts them on that isn't 13-18 years old aka in HS... well I guess I answered my own questions about mindset and mentality/life approach

That said, I don't know him personally like some here, and I also didn't start watching regularly, until I got into Andrew's, when he put the pilot out.
The comments here used to be really positive and got more negative over time. They really turned negative when he decided to turn his back on his fans here and leave because he cared more about fighting his haters. There was also an amazing opportunity for him to get help here that would improve his life a lot, but he just got angry when he was offered it and expected people to act like he was a genius that didn't need help. That was frustrating because it was easy to see that he was going to continue to struggle and make excuse after excuse when he failed.

It also doesn't help that he makes a lot of very trollish responses to his haters. Even some of his fans in the Youtube comments have been complaining about him responding too much to haters.

I think it's also pretty obvious that Trooper is an unhappy person and there is so much negativity that comes from him. He is clearly the most negative person by far out of all the vloggers, and he even cusses at his viewers in the comment section of his own videos, even under the name Trooper97. It's hard to imagine several of the other vloggers doing that. When I supported him, I used to cringe when someone would make a comment disagreeing with him on something, and he would make a childish response like "LMAO."

Steve has recalled this accurately. for the people who subbed to Tim after Neeme, what Steve said is a pretty good cliff notes on the animosity between 2+2 users and Tim.

Even then I still try to give him credit where he deserves it, but also be fair and direct in pointing out what I don't think is good/don't enjoy about the vlogs. Like mailtime, I'm obviously anti-mailtime but I've made that clear to the thread and him directly, now I just don't watch them and only comment on what I do watch

what I miss the most is the thought and planning he used to put into his vlogs when he wasn't doing daily vlogs. remember when he used to choreograph something as simple as the walk from his room at desert manor to his car?

It says there will be a part 2. He puts effort into his videos. I wonder what his bankroll is because doesn't he usually play 1-2 or 1-3? But he showed up anyway when he saw what Andrew and Brad were doing.

ya know what else is a pretty weird internet phenomenon? broadcasting your entire life on youtube like you're a slightly edited Truman Show.

Yes! And I've seen some of the other vegas vloggers try and then expand on some of the things he played around with.

When Neeme blew up I said itt this was a great chance for Trooper to rev up his content, reduce vlogs to 3-4 a week and make an effort to run it up. Instead he's not executing as he could and his plans, ideas are obviously made and executed with very little feedback or re-working: he comes up with an idea, sketched out the rough outline of it, goes about attempting it without much more planning, thought or preparation and then struggles through it. This has been the case multiple times over the last year with a variety of things, Trooper Across America is a good example.

Trooper is wrong about a lot of things, but he's absolutely right about the strategy talk at the table thing.

It's the nut low for keeping a game light and fun.

Agreed. Good players shouldn't be doing this at a friendly table with assumably a few soft spots at it. It's also annoying to listen to.

Agreed. When it happens at a table I'm at or rather another player at the table gives me unsolicited strategy advice/analysis of my play - I just smile and agree with them. I just take the information about how they view my play, agreeing with them isn't going to change how I play and it avoids alienating someone at the table who may very well think they are just being friendly/polite.

This is the bit I have missed, being late to the party. Makes the frustrations much more understandable, if people have been following for however long things have been going. I didn't even know that he used to post here, so that shows how late I am to seeing things.

I try not to read youtube comments, where possible. Makes this thread seem tame, and some of the stuff in here is a bit odd, at times. I guess that's borne from the fact most of youtube has no real clue about poker, like myself

I do, however, always comment to say well done, or thanks, when he has put out a good vlog. I really enjoyed the TAA stuff, and his challenge stuff was really good, too.

The weightloss thing was meh, but I was under the impression he and Kraut had spoken about it, so I'm not sure why he didn't just clear that up in a video. Agree 100% about paying too much attention to trolls, and I think Trooper even knows that he does, but can't help feeding the cycle.

Thanks for summarizing the history of trooper and this forum. It explains a little bit of what I see here. But it doesn't explain the over-the-top daily ridicule, or the obvious enjoyment that it gives to some of you. It's bizarre to choose daily humiliation of a human being as a hobby.

Are you saying he is humiliating himself with the content he publishes or that some people here seem to find some fun/entertainment in breaking down and analysis of his every move? If it's the latter I have some agreement with that and also obviously detest the white knights who aids up the thread riding to their favorite reality personalities defense. As they put it "it's their job to come in here and stand up to the 'bullies' whatever the F that means in their emotionally damaged perspectives
