Umm because he's running up expenses like a MF'er and he's running out of time before wsop. So you tell me why you think he's coming 4 hours west of Vegas and staying an extra 1-2 nights in an LA hotel? For your entertainment value?

Why does he do half the things he does. You think the guy is logical? lol he turned a 2 week road trip into a month and is still on the east coast dude.

Trooper has abandoned the expense report? Sounds like the trip has taken a turn for the worse. I guess the report was fun while he was up.

ohh, I'm sure if Troop books a big win that puts him back into the black that he'll have no problem pulling out that expense report to show us how great he is. Until then, he is hoping we all forget about it. lol

This was the best possible answer and also makes the most sense.

Screw it I'm with Lee! Head down to Oceans 11 while you're out here Trooper so I can buy you a Starbucks with my phone app and share it itt

Maybe he's too busy to update the expense report?

I figure he can update it when he gets back home where he'll have more time. No, wait. He'll probably say he'll be too busy during the entire WSOP so he'll update it at the end of July but he'll probably expect that everyone forgets about it by then and that way, he'll never have to update it. Perfect!

This strategy of just ignoring it worked so well for the weight loss challenge punishment and all the other things he promised to do!

He does keep complaining that he gets depressed when he goes about his day, which involves shooting footage and editing the vlogs. I guess he isn't really doing what he wants to do if his day-to-day life and the vlog make him depressed. So his rants about him living life how he wants on his terms aren't really true then. The vlog is now essentially his now waiting or dealing job and he's starting to hate it like EVERY other job he's ever had. Hmmmm...

Not a sitcom character, but ever since the beginning of the trip I keep thinking he's living a slice of the TBC lifestyle but with a car.(and rent)

Curious to what's cooking on that front?
He never should have put that in the videos if he is going to stop doing it. If he intends to make it a secret, he should have done that since the beginning, and then if the trip goes well he could pull out the sheet and say "See I told you guys the trip was a great idea." If the trip didn't go as well as planned, he wouldn't get as many people bothering him about that.

The weight loss challenge is another thing he never should have bothered with. If the punishment for losing was so bad that he doesn't want to do it, then why agree to it in the first place? I hope his plan wasn't to have PK have to do it if he lost, and Trooper get to avoid it and ignore it if PK won. Then he would basically be on a freeroll from the beginning. I wouldn't assume that was the plan from the beginning though.

I assume he's too broke to continue playing 2/5. With his expensive coffees and fast food, he is racking up expenses quick. He also hasn't told us how much his hotels rooms cost. He did this during the start of Trooper across America. The Hollywood Columbus has some juicy poker games and a couple of nice promotions going. He should stop there and get a motel 6 to cut expenses then high tail it back to Casa Del Trooper.

PokerKraut has a great vlog episode out! He went shooting in the desert with friends, then got a hilarious piece of mail
Spoiler:
(Starbucks cup from a fan as a reward for winning the weight loss challenge and a note calling out the Trooper for bailing on the challenge, the weigh in, and the penalty)
, and then got
Spoiler:
bad beat
at Caesars to end his session.

The thing I liked about the vlog is that even after he got laid off in the beginning when his poker room got closed, he was upbeat and chipper.
Spoiler:
Then when he got bad beat, he said that he would want that get that guy at his table all the time.
And when his wife came to get him because she was done with her gambling, he was okay to leave a great game because as he put it, "In Vegas, there's ALWAYS a good game. You just have to find it." <--- So true!

The guy is just happy in life and enjoys his day-to-day. He doesn't get depressed when little sticks get stuck in his spokes. He just moves on.

Also, we learned that he buys in short with just $120 sometimes. Either that or he buys in for $100 and adds on $20 when he dips short. Interesting to know considering his playing style. I feel like he's missing out on a lot of value this way but he seems to enjoy it. I wonder what his long term results look like.

Well he lost a bunch of cash the last 7 sessions or so. Minus almost 3k and he's up about $400 since that point. Nevertheless he's prob cash broke on this trip and can't handle 2/5 swings. Then after paying for food/hotel/gas he prob has maybe 1k left to gamble with. Hopefully he can turn it around otherwise it's going to be two 14-hour days back to Vegas and then a redux of 2016 WSOP where he went on and on outside the Rio about being "broke" and not able to play the games he wants to play.

On a side note flaking on the weight loss bet seemed to have burned his friendship bridge with PK which is ashame because he seems like a nice and loyal person (referring to PK).

Is Trooper's trip going to be a full month total? Does that mean he has been paying rent for a full month plus minimum utilities (not sure if he put a hold on internet and stuff that you can put a hold on) for absolutely nothing. Isn't that over $1,000 for the month? Closer to $1200+? And then he wonders why he goes broke...SMH

I did a search for his complex and it looks like hes paying around $1200 a month. If he gets to the point where he is broke at the beginning of WSOP, he could be headed back to the Manor.

I remember when he moved there he said he got a great move in special so he's probably paying about 1000 a month until the lease is up in august or September.

It really sucks for Kraut that Luxor closed its poker room b/c he and the Boss are working on improvements to their house :/ im sure he'll figure out where he wants to deal next after he takes a day or two to think about his options.

What day of the month does YouTube send out the checks?

Winning player, life loser. Nice enough guy just out of his mind and crippled by addiction

Sounds like the opposite of Trooper: Losing player, life winner. Not a nice guy but at least his coffee addiction is harmless.

When did he move in? Has it been a year already? Why would he move back to Desert Manor, when he can move in with Molly!

I'm sure Trooper thinks he got a "deal" but he's probably paying normal price. He thought he got a great deal when he traded in an almost paid off car to keep making the same payment on a new car for another 5 years.

LOL. Spot on except for the life winner part. I guess he is a life winner compared to TBC but compared to normal people, he's slightly below average at best. But then again, life is tough. Not as easy as you see on TV (or on successful people's YouTube channels.)

Haven't looked at his blog recently but I remember TBC having over $30k and much of that was from poker and not from Youtube/donations.

Trooper didn't move in until at least August. Remember he went broke during the summer and complained he couldn't play his best since he moved to Vegas because he didn't have a big enough roll. Obviously that was just an excuse.

Trooper moved into his new place quickly after he started taking monthly donations. So the Patreon account really was just used to help pay for the increase in rent.

I believe he plays tight enough that he can buy in for the max and not risk taking a gigantic loss. That game he was in looked extremely juicy. If he has everyone covered at the table and playing tight solid poker, he could have been in for a huge night. It was unfortunate that the river suck out had to happen when he got his money in good.

In his latest blog he said his bankroll aka life roll was about 14-15k. He had to get three of his teeth pulled, he's so addicted to gambling he's not even going to spend money to get them replaced, just gonna eat out of one side of his mouth lol.

If something were to seriously happen to his teeth, he would definitely be paying out of pocket for a huge procedure. With the way he spends money on 3 $4 coffees a day along with the fast food on the strip, he is only rolled for 1/2. I also think getting a good workout in during the morning will help him with his problems being too tired and tilting at the poker table.
