The thread about Vegas leaving ibelieveyouoweme$80k a broken man reminds me of Trooper. It could be a preview of what Trooper will live like in a decade unless he stays with Lady Trooper.

And ibelieveyouoweme$80k is taking a lot of criticism. He took his shot in Vegas, has freedom like Trooper, is doing what he wants to do, has been honest about a lot of his story and will do things his way. For anyone thinking the criticism of Trooper here is out of hatred and jealousy, do they think the posters in the other thread are jealous too? I expect ibelieveyouoweme$80k to be a much better poker player than Trooper.

Disagree. Trooper likes to do the bare minimum to get by but when the going gets tough and he absolutely needs to make that money, a fire gets lit under his ass and he goes out and finds a way to make ends meet.

Neither one is going to be a successful poker pro but Trooper can always fall back on the fact that he is an excellent server and dealer.

Ibeliebeyouoweoweme$80k is sort of the anti-Trooper in that when the going gets tough he just folds and asks for handouts. He has a list of excuses a mile long as to why he's not capable of working call center jobs, fast food jobs, insert any job here.

In a previous video I noticed Trooper seemed pretty fed up with Vegas and the lockdowns and such. I immediately thought he should move to TX but then thought about it a bit and realized Texas is not for him. Texas is not very walkable at all. If there's one thing we know about Trooper it's that he loves to walk to the poker room and take shots of the strip. I don't know anyone that walks as much as Trooper in 2021. Dude's like the Forrest Gump of walking. So while he gets criticized for not working out much, he's stayed in relatively good health (despite eating a lot of junk) because he's always out walking. On the other hand, I believe Ibelieveyouoweme$80k said he can't walk more than 100ft, and is clearly in far worse health than Trooper.

Trooper's point about "Las Vegas feel" seems correct re the Golden Nugget, which was Steve Wynn's breakout project..

I tried the Golden Nugget poker room a few months back. It was dealt 5 handed, with no plexiglass. I only played one session. but I have to say that the absence of plexiglass was a real pleasure, even with everyone wearing masks. The play was very loose, even at 5 handed.

Weighing the risk however, I do not think the better esthetics were offset by the likely greater risk of catching Covid.

Ethan runs so well it is rediculous... Makes me think that life run good is a thing. If Troop ran half as well as Rampage his win rate would be way higher.

I can't even watch Rampage's vlogs anymore. This run is so absurd. He's far from good and is on the hottest run I've ever seen of any player and I've seen some absolute bonkers stuff. It's like every button he clicks works. But hey, it sure is great publicity and makes a ton of players believe they can play like him and win. It's just his vlog has become such a fantasy world. He never posts a losing session.

But Ibeliebeyouoweoweme$80k is still a success because he is doing what he wants to do. He is his own boss. HE is the boss. Instead of working for the man or grinding it out in poker rooms, he does what he wants. Haters are just jealous because they don’t have the freedom that he does. They are slaves to their boss in that 9 to 5 job, then they come home and have their wife boss them around. Every year I’ll take a brief trip to Vegas and live the dream that Ibeliebeyouoweoweme$80k lived in Vegas. He is a lucky guy. He lives that dream for 365 days a year instead of just a couple weeks a year.

Some good points you made about Ibeliebeyouoweoweme$80k though. When things get tough, Trooper will constantly grumble and be miserable about it, but he will still find a job and work. And yes he does walk a lot, especially compared to poker players that complain about walking from the parking garage to the poker room.
