In fairness your comment has offered nothing other than spin. If you have some proof of something post it. Pointless to hint at something and instead of backing it up just saying we should trust you

PokerKraut seems to be completely bust. Playing with a $200 bankroll hoping to win enough to buy a phone. His channel has gained just 50 followers in the last 5 months.

Always wishing him the best. Hopefully things turn around for him. Atleast he is still smiling

As he should. He deserves it. Probably around half a million very specifically targeted people will watch that video. That is worth a lot to an advertiser like that.

Nitpick: I didn’t pay attention whether he did or not but he probably should put this video includes paid promotion or something like that to be transparent with his viewers as I believe that would be the most ethical thing to do.

Not a big issue for me if he doesn’t. Just a suggestion.

Did you just discover Trooper and don't know his history at all? Westgate poker room was new and desperate for players.

Poker's lowest priority for him. He deals and has a steady income from it, then has family life, then poker's gravy. He's the most admirable of the lot in my opinion, he's always happy and has a great life away from the felt. Kudos

Krauts 5 minute long intro video always turned me off. I see he cut it out recently, which is fantastic.

Can you imagine how big Trooper could blow up if he was a winning player? That should be incentive enough to improve his game as much as possible. Not only would he actually win significant money for 1-2 and 1-3, his subscription numbers would rise into the six figures. That would lead to even more income from his merchandise shop and lead to meet up games around the country that would draw way more than his one game at Westgate.

But Trooper gonna Trooper.

Kinda, I mean I've seen a few of his videos but they don't hold my attention... Because there is very little poker and he just walks the strip

But a couple of his real older videos of his showed up on my feed lately they were a bit better.

The thing is that he is too lazy and not motivated to work on his game. Earlier in his "career", top live pros from this forum have given him the offer to help him out/do some coaching with him. He declined.

As you said, Trooper is gonna do Trooper- he is satisfied going to the strip to drink coffe, eat bad food and complain about it, then donk around in a pokergame couple of hours then edit the vlog. Repeat over and over. Wich is totally fair i guess, everybody lives their life as the want.

But i agree with you, i do wonder sometimes what could have been for him.

PokerKraut is doing just fine for himself. PokerKraut is simply frugal, and uses his poker winnings to buy other stuff. His Poker game is to buy in short, and he is a winning poker player.

PokerKraut got rid of that gawd awful intro music, thank goodness.

I would put PokerKraut's Vlogs in the "Lifestyle" category, like Trooper's.

I could see trooper being on the level of Andrew or Boski level, why not?

Like if he did an actual reboot and focused on Poker and hands.

He ever give reasons for not accepting coaching...was it about the man?

Kraut strikes me as the kind of guy who would be happy even if he was dirt broke, whereas Trooper would be unhappy even if was filthy rich.

I guess its possible, at least being a strong 2/5 reg pulling alot of money from those games through the year.

Dont remember exactly what his reasons were do decline help back then, as its several years ago when he had pretty recently moved to Las Vegas. Both Squid Face and Limon reached out to him back then if i remember it correctly. But Trooper is very very stubborn+ trouble connecting to reality in some ways, so if i would have to guess that is mainly why he prefers to just go at it alone as he wants.

I have played with him at Troopers Thursday couple of years ago. He actually have a pretty good sense and natural "reading ability" for the game. There is other factors stopping him from getting better in my opinion. If he had the motivation and work ethic to do it, i believe he could for sure.

Trooper, to my knowledge has never given a reason.
In Trooper's mind, he don't need no stinking coaching.
He just needs to get on the right side of variance.

The vlogger bubble burst a long time ago. Unless Trooper becomes the next Phil Ivey, his vlog isn't going anywhere, regardless of his results. He does seem to have a dedicated audience who are vicariously "living the dream" through him though.

That's my point. He has a strong dedicated viewer base of rec players. If he actually showed that you can beat the Vegas games for enough to make a living, albeit a modest one, that would be a huge win for the vlog. Then he could grind his way up to 2-5 and make a decent living where he can travel to other locations and win enough to cover expenses easily.

His Austria and Aruba vlogs were very popular. His Trooper Across America was also popular. If his goal is to make a living on YouTube or a significant income, then he should do stuff that will increase viewership like being able to win at poker.

Things Trooper could do to improve his income, improve his blog, and improve his poker has been beaten to death 1000 pages ago in this thread. Literally thousands and thousands of posts.

Bottom Line:

Trooper gonna Trooper.

Don't let that distract you from the fact he misplayed the flop, turn and river up until the obvious fold to the huge over bet shove.

These vlogs you mentioned were so good it is almost impossible to believe they are from the same guy that has made hundreds of unwatchable garbage vlogs in the last few years..
