I find nothing wrong with Daniel being a die hard LVGK fan, but he isn't an owner.

I ran into a cat today playing in a tournament....after EVERY hand he lost he wanted to get into a discussion w/me (and everyone else he lost to) about the hand. First time I just ignored him. Second time I politely told him I do not discuss what cards I had and I dont discuss strategy at the table. Probably came off like a dick but I"m not there to give people free information while I'm trying to make money and beat them into the ground. It was quite obvious this guy had an inferiority complex and overcompensated for it by acting like he knew more than everyone at the table. But I guess it was somewhat amusing. Had to do that with another player as well.

I was thinking if this guy comes back at me a third time with his BS, am I going to have to get the dealer call the floor? After all, I told him to basically shut up. Probably nothing the floor would have done. But I swear to god I would have made it very uncomfortable for that guy after that....obviously he was knocked out soon after so I didnt have to deal with his BS for much longer.

Just as a fyi...I'm a relative noob to live poker, so this is probably normal for most of you.

It was reported he was part of a minority group, and when asked directly if he had an ownership stake, he deflected saying he was just going to be a fan.

I don't play poker that much, but yea having some guy like you at the table who brings down the mood of the game by taking 1/2 super serious is pretty normal.

Maybe I wasnt clear. I was playing in a tournament. So you discuss your strategy and how you play hands while trying to win $100k? Interesting.....

Actually, I was pretty clear in my first sentence I was playing in a tournament. And for the record, I can think of numerous topics to talk about at a 1/2 table besides poker strategy that would be WAY more entertaining.......

Go Gamble Texas shirt was on the WPT Legends show. Right after PH knocks out JC Tran, there is a fan wearing the shirt shown on TV.

ETA: about 40 minutes into the third show.

I actually tell these guys "don't coach at the table" or "hey man, this is 1/2, all of us suck. If we were good we'd be in the back room printing $ in the 5/10 game."

I never knew how to respond to those guys until I saw how Doyle Brunson does it.

"You're acting like I have a plan, but I just make it up as I go along."

Trooper really needs glasses. You see how wide he makes his eyes when he looks in the camera?

And another good day at the satellites

Bomb pots are a *****.

Don't forget that he's getting a cut of the rake for 10+ hours.

Into the second week and trooper is talking days off to rest and his bankroll is back to where it started.

S.O.S. Harry

“Hi Harry, we need to play these single table satellites together, but even though there are final 3 or final 2 chops and last longer bets, there is no way its colluding. Even the fan boys say its ok, they compare it to multi table larger tournaments where people have stakes in each other”

First time I've heard Tim really talk poker in the few months I've been watching. Could this be the effect of being around that atmosphere a lot right now?

Also, I could see why people would bumhunt the trooper game.

Out of curiosity, is there a website that tracks the S points for the daily Vegas tournaments?

This. And also, moving to a new city and adopting a local team is not that bad. Many former Knicks and Yankees fans from NY move to LA and take on the Lakers and Dodgers. But I think it depends on the city. I love New England and might move there after being a lifelong NYer but I know I'm not going to start rooting for the Patriots and Red Sox. But if I somehow became a billionaire and got a chance to buy a piece of the Pats, this diehard Jets fan would be rooting on Brady and company but I would still root for my Jets. Situations differ. I'm sure Daniel still loves his Leafs.

Trooper crashing back to reality is the saddest Trooper of all. What happened to the cooking at home and working out at the gym? He has a pretty nice gym steps from his front door and still neglects to go. The guy really is a lazy loser. But I see he finally changed his YouTube profile pic from wearing the "Villian" cap to promoting his Go Gamble line. Months later. But better late than never I guess...
How much effort does it take to change a profile pic like that? Minimal. And it was all to benefit himself. Yet he neglects to do that. The guy is a lazy slob.

I still watch him though. I have an inner Trooper inside me. The guy that wants to be lazy and give the minimal effort. But Trooper serves as a cautionary tale of what that kind of attitude begets. Minimal effort. Minimal results. Or as Joe Rogan says, you must constantly fight against your inner *****.
