Thought he would play poker after he got up so early and was on the Strip so early. Looks like we'll be seeing another mail time video soon.

Even without holecard cam I think it's still fun to listen to hand histories. We've all given HH's to friends of ours, it still works. I watched Troop's latest vlog and he loses with AA and just says "guy flopped a set", but as I recall he checked the turn and river first to act. Now imagine if he had simply explained wtf he was doing like Neeme does, it would make things a whole lot more interesting.

TheTroooper not putting many hours in lately. Why does he always make going to the gym an excuse for not being able to accomplish anything else for the rest of the day? The fella needs to stop eating horrible crappy food on the strip. 99% of that stuff is garbage.

i think he's put in like 30 hours in the past 2 and a half weeks since he did the 100 hour challenge

winning ~5k was the worst thing that could have happened to him

Yes, there are players that play 1/2 for a living and some have done so for quite some time. However, the number is surprisingly small. The vast majority of 1/2 "grinders" are either new players trying to make it, or guys like Trooper that aren't able to sustain themselves from poker over a long period of time (ie have to keep getting a job after a few months)

2/5 is super soft though and if you don't think that then you really have no place playing poker for a living.

2/5 is filled with a lot of players that play regularly and most of them are terrible. I'm not sure where you got the idea that this forum is filled with extremely good players. It is filled with poker enthusiasts of various skill levels. In addition, some players are better at articulating their thoughts on a forum than they are at making decisions in game.

What the Trooper is doing is so confusing to me. He wakes up before 10am and is on the strip after 3pm right? And why is he at the strip? So he can walk around to film for the Vlog? Why not just go get in a poker game and play some. Then, when he gets bored he could just leave the game and film the strip some and then jump into another game.

WTF at going to one casino for a burger, then going to another casino to buy a coffee while planning to leave the strip altogether to play poker downtown. Really strange.

Bingo, even I have fallen victim to this. It's sort of like a version of winners tilt. You have a windfall profit month and suddenly feel like you're free of your obligations to play, you have some breathing room now, time to relax, etc.

That's pretty ****ing funny coming from a guy who has over 8000 posts on 2+2 in 3 years, compared to my 1500 in almost 5 years. Don't you think it's about time you signed off of the forums for awhile and go enjoy the real world for a change?

And while you go and try to find a life, I'll hop out of my hotel bed here in Prague and go explore the city on this fine Christmas Day.

Trooper has cut way down on the pokerz

Running the clock out on 2016

If trooper can stay above water for one more week,
he can claim to be a winning poker player for 2016.

Trooper is up ~$1000 for 2016

Run the clock out trooper, 2017 is only a week away !

Guy looks a lot like aaron rodgers as well. Also is there a reason why in every vlog video he would mention how he isn't sure if his bet sizing should be smaller etc? He seems to question himself a lot when explaining the hands such as maybe i should have bet more or bet less etc. Because wouldn't a very good 2/5nl reg probably not be questioning himself this much.
Completely disagree with this. Regs become very good because they never stop questioning themselves, especially regarding betsizing.

I think it is pretty evident at this point that Vlogging and everything that comes with it is his main source of income now, not Poker. So priority #1 of the day is putting out some social media content. Poker is priority number 3 or 4 at this point. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but this means that by no means is Troop a professional poker player.

Following up on that: even before it might have been an income stream, Trooper was pretty clear that vlogging comes first. While he may have had plans/dreams of playing poker profesionally when first moving to Vegas, his passion for the vlog became stronger. He has always portrayed himself as a vlogger who plays poker (hopefully making money doing so), not as a professional poker player.

Caught on some vlogs this holiday weekend

Trooper is hilarious when he is grumpy. Him walking down the strip with the Picachu street performers and starring tourists in background while complaining was genius. The entire vlog was entertaining. This is where Troop has a definite advantage over Andrew and Jake.

I watched Pure Agression's art murals. I have to be honest. I fast forwarded but the topic did capture my attention. Although some of the critism maybe warranted, I thought his interview with Tappan was very good. I watched the entire interview.

Whey's vlog is improving. I don't know if his girlfriend minds but it seems she has interesting life story. I think she should be part of Whey's vlog.

The videos without poker content are so bad. Go to burger place, spend 5 minutes bitching about how bad burger was, go to coffee place, spend 3 minutes bitching about how bad coffee was, end vlog. I don't understand how isnt too ashamed to put that kind of content online. I can only imagine what the vlogs will look like once he starts making enough from YouTube to live off of.

He also bitched about the elevator not working. I wish he had filmed the part where he started bitching about being too tired to play poker.

That is sort of a catch 22 tho. Without poker content his youtube success will stop going up and head down.
