Lol yeah fair enough, but it's not related to them cutting off voucher drinks to people like Rice.

I only visit caesars properties a couple of trips per year, never use a players card and never stay where I play so largely unaffected by all the politics.

I channelled my inner rice at an airport lounge yesterday by using a bowl intended for soup to fill with curry as the plates were so tiny they would hold only a few spoonfuls. Then when it was time to board I wrapped a brownie in napkins and put it in my bag along with a can of soda water to consume on the plane.

But did you grab the decorative head of garlic to barter with the guy next to you for his pretzels?

That’s the elite move, one step at a time. Rome wasn’t built in a day…

I appreciate the response, but that name is not ringing a bell. He took down all of his poker videos from Youtube years ago. The last video of his that I saw, he was playing mini golf in his backyard. Anyway, maybe it will come to me one day.

Now you just need a Spirit $9 fare to Phoenix for the endless supply of comped food.

That’s 100% the guy from Southern Indiana that started a thread in PG&C about 10 years ago. He owned a small apartment building but eventually sold it. He took that money and gambled it in the stock market. He was buying risky stocks on margin and was early on a couple that would later blow up. He got ate up with margin calls though and missed out on potentially MILLIONS because of it. He’s gone busto or close to it several times. He got tied up in the GameStop/meme frenzy and when Robin Hood shut down trading he went nuts and even drove to California to protest outside Robin Hood HQ. He eventually started building a roll back in his portfolio and got lucky on a speculative crypto investment and ran it up to just over $1M. He didn’t lock it up and eventually lost about 70% of it before finally cashing out. He took the proceeds and paid cash for a house, leaving himself with practically nothing. He’s continued to grind poker, has built custom putting greens and painted custom basketball courts since then and has split up and got back together with his wife and they currently are back together in a house he bought last year. He’s in the process of building a pickle ball court and is documenting the progress.

Haha are you serious? The VAST majority of poker players, that is, the entire pool of poker players that fill the rooms around the country, don't like to play short-handed. Short-handed in my opinion is < 8 players, or < 7 players for extended periods of time.

Poker players tend to skew type A, arrogant, loud, and socially awkward. Also, when you put 90 - 95% male in a room together, things don't tend to turn out well. You need women to calm things.

Pman who is an early adopter of bitcoin should have no issues paying for his own buy-ins.

He also is good at poker so he should easily win a bracelet this year and win that bet.

The rich get richer!

lol, "pickle ball" , the game for people too slow or out of shape for tennis, squash, badminton, handball, racquet ball, table tennis, four-square, double-dutch, etc.

He is an expert at locking down once his bankroll gets too low

Dude is like a cockroach, even after a nuclear war he will still survive grinding low stakes.

,

I admittedly have not been following the pman saga, but

Didn't he have a legit, poker-related job at the Sahara ? What happened ?

Quit immediately after coming 2nd in the employees event. Lol at thinking that was enough money to retire on, and now begging for people to buy him into this year's WSOP again.

Non-zero chance I get my AMEX revoked someday for piling Centurion Lounge food into Tupperware I slide into my carry-on. Only the Vegas one has reprimanded me, so maybe they watch Rice's channel and know the trick

I just don't understand the allure of wanting to say you play poker for a living. From Trooper, Bikeking, Pman, Diesel etc.

Do you know what is cool to be able to say? You actually make money playing poker. Enough money where you don't have to nerf your lifestyle to meet your win rate. Enough money to actually show a positive win rate. Enough money to fund your tournament buy ins yourself because you actually are +ev and you get to capture all that ev yourself and not have to sell 50% of a $500 employees event.

Has there ever been a poker player with less experience, barely a Hendon Mob, less skill, less everything that confidently posts about looking for a backer to play a full WSOP schedule than Pman?

Yea I mean the employee event has about 1000 people last year. He's probably 800-1 to win in that alone.
