El d,
I thought the same of L'Atelier. I posted pictures of each dish in my latest trip report updates. It was good, but not worth twice the amount of Gary Danko. I would like to try L'Atelier again, however I would order alacarte.

I must say craftsteak at MGM served the best meal ive had (steakwise) tough do i agree they are very expensive.

The Wagyu beef 3 course with wine came at 450 including tip for me and a friend. Damn expensive, but daaaaaamn good.

Just a quick update. So far in the last week I've had: Robuchon, Michael Mina, Bouchon, Tableau and CUT (2 times.) I have at least one or two photos from the places I haven't already reviewed ITT. For the weekend American Fish for sure and then Country Club or Picasso will get Tomorrow night. Haven't decided yet. Hoping to hit L'Atlelier for the second time Monday night and then the full TR will go up. This has been the best vacation of my life.

Sick life.

CowboyCold enlightened me to the fact that American Fish has a great happy hour special. It's literally only one hour from 5-6 every day, but it's like $5 small plates and pretty good drink specials. Sounds like you're going to do the restaurant full on (jealous) but if you have something else you want to squeeze in later in the night, you could experience American Fish for not much time/money commitment. Unrelated: I find it offensive that they don't have much of a beer menu, but do offer PBR. WTF is that?

A la carte with a very heavy sampling of all the smaller plates/appetizer section is the way to go.

Boring but very high quality. Maybe it's because the meal was basically free because I had a $100 comp but I was surprised and very happy.

They do have a fantastic whiskey selection though.

Pabst Blue Ribbon. The best low rent beer on the planet. Oh so slightly ahead of Keystone Light.

Definition by example: Tragedy - burning your tongue the morning before dinner at Picasso.

It was still great but a few things, especially sipping some of the wines weren't quite right though my wife assured me they were great (and I thought they were great a previous trip getting the same menu degustation.). Sigh.

Went to Kabuto last Friday. Far exceeded expectations and the $350 total price tag for 2 people was well worth it. To those who haven't been, go for the $120 menu and then add on favorites at the end of the meal. Highlight of the meal: lady next to us from Tokyo who was impressed by our "authentic ordering and appreciation of the cuisine". Lowlight of the meal: the snail course. Best dish was the triangle or the kama****a fatty tuna. The flash fried crab chip was also quite exciting.

Ate at Picasso on Saturday. I had the degustation with wine pairings and gf had the four course prix fixe. Degustation included a great lobster salad, good but nothing incredible scallop, best piece of foie gras I've ever eaten, succulent lamb loin and to top it off the peanut butter ice cream and chocolate fondant cake. One of the more extravagant and indulgent meals we've had but well worth the $450 total price tag.

If you go to Picasso, get the peanut butter and chocolate dessert.

Highly recommend both of these restaurants for both the experience and quality of food. Unfortunately did not get to sit outside at Picasso due to the bad weather in Vegas this weekend.

Going to Vegas in January for Bachelor Party, and we're having a big dinner at CUT. Can anyone tell me if there is a dress code and if not, what is standard men's wear? Flying in so need to know ahead of time what to pack.

Hawaiian shirt is one rung below black tie on the Las Vegas formal wear ladder.

if that's true, I need to go out and buy 5 Hawaiian shirts.

Does this hold true elsewhere?

Had dinner at Raku again last night. Amazing. Every bite is just pure. It's right on my way home from work, need to stop in more often. Bar usually available for two around 6pm or 7pm on weekdays, and can get away cheaply (sub $50 for two total) if you want with say one of the whole fish specials, some soup and a few grilled meat skewers.
