I understood your point. I liked the menu a little more than you, but the pics were all over the place. If the pics online were anything like wj94's, then I probably would have already been there.

Both the steak and the Mexican are better than just about any steakhouse or Mexican place. The steak was that damn good. I play at Aria all the time and have clearly been sleeping on Toca for too long. Solid happy hour too.

Looks like they went to Kabuto instead, that poor soul.

man, I remember when the kabuto menus were under 100 bucks. seems like I can't justify going anymore when the AYCE in town for 30 are already pretty good.

Ditto... and, worth it every time I visited.
Quality, not quantity.

Visited Ono sushi's AYCE last week. (~$35) Absolutely scrumptious! Next visit I'm getting nothing but the Son of the Beach roll. Wish I had pictures.

Best Lasagna I've ever had at La Pizza e La Pasta inside of Eataly in Park MGM.
$29

Is that a meat sauce lasagna, with...what's the green? Can't really tell. But that's a lot of layers. Size looks like I could eat 3 of those servings.

Meat sauce beef & braised pork. Fresh oregano and basil on top. It was fairly large but I made a huge mistake not getting bread with it. I could eat this once a week.

My wife has taken Italian cooking classes, she makes 90% of her pasta fresh, all around amazing cook. I crushed her when she surprised me with lasagna and I told her I despise lasagna. Just looks and tastes like slop, like most Mexican dishes.

your post made me go and look at the menu

have you by any chance ordered the side of Manchego Truffle Fries for $29? I'm not sure how good a side of fries would need to be before I ordered them for $29 but they would need to be better than any fries I've ever eaten before

Didn’t order those, $29 for fries seemed steep when the street corn was so damn good for half the price. The table next to us had then and to me they looked like some fries from Arby’s with cheese on top for $29. I’m sure they’re tasty, but $29 tasty? Idk about that.

That said, if you haven’t had the fries at Bavette’s they are pretty incredible for around $14 or so. The mashed potato though…Jesus!

There's a lot to like about lasagna, but I'm not sure I've eaten it in a decade... and it might realistically be twice that long.

Worse still, I’ve never eaten at Bavette’s. Will visit next time I’m in town

I make homemade lasagna at least every other month. I don't think I've ever ordered it in a restaurant though. When I go out I order something I don't/can't make at home.

Pro tip - if you’re getting the fries just order the prime rib dip sandwich. Comes with full side of fries which makes the sandwich only like $20 and it’s huge. Can barely finish half a sandwich and some fries myself. Epic sandwich.
