I'd say the big plus is a very crispy (somewhat greasy) outside crust with a soft fluffy? inside. Also a slight burn crisp cheese edge. Not confident fluffy best word to describe though.
cooked on dough, and if the oven is hot enough, the pan deep enough, and the maker adept enough, you'll get a thickish pizza with wonderful toppings and every slice has a wonderfully crispy edge crust with cheese baked in that we all love.

Once you find a good Detroit style you’ll never go back to other pizza

Obviously not Detroit style, but for my money Old School Pizzeria is the best pizza in Las Vegas.

If that's pepperoni and anchovies, I'm putting you in charge of this thread.

Spoiler:
What I hate, more than anything, is asking for anchovies and they put one on the slice, or even worse, two on the entire pizza.

Spoiler:
You forgot the jalapenos, but I'm not deducting points because you simply may not have known any better.

Pepperoni and sausage and the other is meatball and mushrooms, I believe they do have anchovies though. I tend not to prefer jalapeños on my pizza, it’s okay sometimes but nothing I crave

Thanks to everyone provided resturanttips before my Vegas trip in June. We did try couple of them, Henry at Cosmopolitan and Soul Belly (barbeque).

Both was great, in different ways. Henry was a solid joint as a 24/7 option with some pretty great food. My fav was their eggs benedict short rib, wich i had 2 times. Fantastic pimped version of this classic dish. The short rib meat was just melting apart.

Soul Belly was great barbeque little bit off the strip, closer to downtown. Big woodfired grills outside the joint where they cooked/smoked some of the meat. Very good tasty food and big portions so you get full for sure. Recommended.

I want to say thank you as well.

Went to Tacos el Gordo for the first time and it was amazing. Al Pastor is just out of this world.

Mateos on Venetian is some of the best Pasta I've ever had, and the service was very good too. Had pork and veal filled ravioli, pancetta, parmigiano reggiano, sage brown butter. Can def recommend.

Holsteins was pretty nice too imo, ordered Shakes as well. They look better than they taste, but still a pretty fun experience for a quick meal.

Rolling Smokes BBQ was a good way to start a day in Downtown. Both behind the desk were pretty rude, but the food was decent. Particularly enjoyed the burned ends.
In the evening we went to Vic & Anthonys and it's just one of my favorite places to eat. The steak is sooo good, and I love the potato au gratin as a side.

Beijing Noodle no. 9 on Caesars was pretty good too. Had General Tsaos Chicken, and I really liked it. A bit spicy for me, but I'm not that used to Spicy food.

Tacos el gordo pro tip - ask for the pastor extra crispy on the grill and tip the guy, they’ll usually hook it up with some extra meat and stuff. Also their quesadillas are good as ****

You get asked about your "last meal" often ?

If you ever go get those shortribs, be careful driving home after you leave the restaurant. You don't really want it to become your last meal, at least not that day.

lol, given the restaurant name, your post reminded me of the dining exchange from The Godfather

"Capt. McCluskey:
Is the Italian food good here?"

"Sollozo:
Try the fried spam, it's the best."

Reading about executions is worthwhile if for no other reason than to read what people want for their last meals. Absolutely fascinating!

LOL, you recommend a particular google search term to mine that info from the internets ?

Something like this:

https://newsfeed.time.com/2013/10/05...remains-on-tv/

The Vegas-based Heart Attack Grill makes no bones about the danger its offerings pose to customers. The restaurant’s name warns diners what to expect if they eat what’s on the menu, and the grill’s 10,000 calorie ‘Quadruple Bypass Burger’ conveys a similarly ominous message. Now, the establishment’s owner has taken his campaign to prove his food’s lethality to the next level by displaying a dead customer’s cremated remains on live television.

Never searched for it before right now. I've had an interest in executions for a pretty good while and have just run across some interesting ones in the newspaper accounts--especially some that make you go, "What the hell???"

Here are the first two hits I got when I punched in "last meal requests texas." Might as well start with a high frequency location, eh? Seems it could be quite the rabbit hole.

Gracias, I'll try it.

Skirt steak, in its many variations, is probably my long-time favorite

Went to Best Friend the other day. The short rib tacos, garlic chicken, and street corn were all phenomenal. The pork bowl was ok, but definitely my least favorite. This is going to be a must on future trips.
