Checked out the Cornish Pasty that opened in Boulder City,1300 Arizona Street.

I had the Cubano, my wife has the salmon and my cousin had the lamb. All were excellent. I muscled through and finished mine. The ladies could only polish off half of each and took the rest home. Service was very good and helpful. Highly recommended.

As a Brit I was highly sceptical of this place, but they don't do a horrible job. I've been to one in Phoenix and the one in the arts district in Vegas, that one's fun for all the pool tables/shuffleboard etc too.

The best times at Cornish Pasty are the Indian dishes. Tandoori chicken wings, spiced potato, tikka masala pasty all winners.

All British dishes, nice try.

Has anyone experienced Dragon Tiger Noodle Company yet? We're going out at the end of the month and I'm intrigued.

Man, there is one <5min away from my house in Southern Highlands, the three locations on yelp have 3.5 stars. Seems extremely uninspiring but I might try it.

Going to Vegas next week. Any places on the strip good for oysters or spots that have oyster happy hour specials?

Harrah’s Oyster bar. There closing in a few weeks but I think you’ll be good next week.

Slightly off strip but Oyster Bar at Palace Station is extremely popular, 4.5 stars and 3.2K reviews. More known for its pan roast but obviously has oysters.

Santa Fe station had same menu/stuff. But that was a few years ago ?

I would go to Palace Station Oyster bar (and do go to Santa Fe instead of Palace because there’s no wait at Santa Fe ever while there always is at Palace) instead of Harrahs. No reason to go to Harrahs whatsoever for their Oyster bar.

Well, they do take those drink vouchers that Diamond Plus and above get, and their mixed drinks are quite strong. So they do have that going for them.

Heading to Vegas on Monday for 4 nights, mostly for golf and eating. I'm Caesars Diamond Elite -- are Caesars properties still doing drink vouchers instead of the lounges? If so, where are the best spots to use the vouchers and chill/watch the NBA playoffs? Staying at Caesars Palace fwiw but willing to walk anywhere on Strip.

There has to be a better place to use those than the Oyster bar.

I'm not sure how current it is, but here's a list of where you can, allegedly, use your drink vouchers:

Best calamari(fried or otherwise) in valley ?

To contribute:

Tacos El Gordo (went to Charleston location) still the stone nuts for al pastor and chorizo. Carne asada is good but not life changing. El Gordo might be my last meal on death row .

Lamaii was amazing. That's coming from Thai g.f as well as myself(ferang). Got lots of stuff all great ... And "authentic"

Chochoc Thai was also very delicious, and more low-key.

The Henry in Cosmo is amazing especially for late night strip food. Worth price.

I like Ethiopian food, which is slightly annoying to get in most places. I chose lucy on flamingo/Decatur . Has best rating for Ethiopian in city.

It had the usual suspects for Ethiopian food. Idk if it's like getting Thai/ethnic food and you get the American friendly here vs official/local food....it was little pricy, lacking in customizations. Definitely nothing special, wouldn't go back.

I’m not a big calamari person, and this review is from 15+ years ago, but Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House in MGM near the arena inside had the best I can ever remember having. Was fried and seasoned beautifully. But I tried it more than 15 years ago. One thing I will say about that place is that it has been open forever which is a tough thing to maintain for Vegas strip restaurants.

The list keeps getting shorter. Additionally, as prices are creeping up but the vouchers still cap out at $20, you may find that they're no longer good for most of the cocktails at certain places. Stadia Bar and Alto Lounge at Caesars have bumped the price of most of their specialty cocktails over $20. Bound over at Cromwell seems to be doing the same, but it's tough to tell, since their menus don't actually have any prices on them (!)

Tacos el Gordo is a good choice, but don't wait to go on death row to get some.

As for carne asada, I like Carlitos, in Henderson. It is New Mexico food and the green chili is first rate. It is also 2 doors down from a dispensary and discounts your food 10% if you come from the dispensary.

Because you've got the munchies and they know you'll order 50% more, I assume.

....

At one point, there were some enterprising Girl Scouts selling Cookies in the parking lot, 35 feet across from the dispensary.

I think that placement was more representative of you perceived marketing strategy.

I think GS selling GSC in dispensary parking lots is a thing in every legalized state.

And I approve.

I never heard of the Girl Scout thing, but like AzOther, approve!

Too bad the neighbors who had GS-age daughter moved away, I'd suggest it to them.

Taco fans need to get down to HUDL brewing on Friday nights. The Balazo Tacos pop-up has some of the best tacos in Vegas, and IMO they make the best salsa in Vegas too. Their IG tags are @salsabalazo and @balazos_tacos. I think they have a weekly one at Khoury's too.

They also deliver their salsas, currently sitting on 6 containers of it in my fridge. Highly recommend

A number of places if you tell them you have drink tickets before ordering they will try to help you out.
