Spent Labor Day weekend in the Sin City. (Vegas Virgin FTW)
We had 4 rooms booked at the Flamingo for my group of 12.

First off, shoe pic:

Room: Stayed at the Flamingo in a Go Room with a view of the fountains. They let me check in early and I avoided the big line (Diamond Member from my local casino). Room was bigger than expected, had a tiny couch, automatic blinds, and a TV in the mirror in the bathroom. The view was good, but the noise of the construction woke me up at 7am every morning. (was on the 23rd floor.)

View from the room:

Yes there is a crane in the way

Gambling Day 1: As soon as I got unloaded in the room I went down to the bar tops and ordered a few grey hounds. Played some Double Deck BlackJack where they actually let you touch your cards ($50 min). I had no idea they let you do that anywhere. Couldn't catch a break the whole day. Ended up down $600 after playing random slots/VP/blackjack no poker.

Gambling Day 2:
Didn't play much poker. Played in the $70 morning buy in at Caesars on Labor Day, it drew 11 players. (I registered early figuring it would be a good turn out, guess not) The blinds doubled every 15 minutes, I didn't last much longer than the first break. I planned on playing in the $200 tourney, I think they guaranteed 10k (but never did). I went to bet a few horses in the sports book and ended up staying there all day. Won about $900 betting horses (hit a pick 4 @ Gulfstream that paid $290 something for .50 cents, repeated the bet 3X). I also discovered the greatest game of all time. The Giant Dice Game (PUSH THE BUTTON). I played this game for hours upon hours. Has to be the most addicting game ever invented. Played some roulette and craps and got crushed. -300 for the day

Gambling Day 3:
Played a bit of 1/2 in morning after being awoke by the damn construction again. Only hand noting, I had J 9 in the big blind. UTG + 2 Raised to $10, 2 people called I called. Flop Was J J 4, I checked UTG + 2 bet $30, 1 caller, I called. Turn was 9. I check again, UTG + 2 went all in, other guy folded. I snap called, he turned over KK, river was a blank and I racked up shortly after with about $370 in chips.

Played a few slots, actually won some good money on them.

Went to Ultimate X video poker (my kryptonite). Stuck in a hundo and about 5 minutes in I had 1 to royal, I was only playing 3 handed and had high hopes but didn't hit it.

Missed the first one

Exactly 2 hands later I had the same thing but in spades. I binked the last 1, for 1k.

Bink!

Went to the high limit room to play $5 top dollar and $5 wheel of fortune, hit this for $600 (120 - $5 credits)

Gambling Day 4 (last day): Couldn't hit anything on VP, lost about $500 on the big dice game, same with black jack. Nothing worth nothing

Nightlife: After crushing the greyhounds and getting crushed gambling we decided to go to the club. (09/01 we tried to get into Marquee, was not happening with 5 guys). When we left we walked outside by the Aria and decided to try Haze. T-Pain was DJing and there was a lot of talent around. We got down the escalator and the line was crazy long. We saw a bouncer and tried to skip the line. He actually accepted our $40 offer to skip the huge line (still had to pay cover but it was worth it).
We got in around 1am and the place was insane. Girls everywhere, it was just so damn hot and I was wearing a blazer so I called it a night after a few drinks.

Food:
Monte Carlo buffet, I actually enjoyed it. Food was good, line was reasonable. Decent value.

Wynn Breakfast buffet. I ate hear on a comp for being a new member and degening it on the slots. I was expecting much better, food was ok. Selection was pretty meh. Would have been disappointed if I paid for it.

Flamingo Breakfast buffet: Again was nothing spectacular (wasnt expecting it to be) Food was decent, it was cheap, and for being Diamond they gave me 2 mimosas and a view of the flamingo habitat.

Aria Lunch buffet: Food was good, selection was good, no wait. Price was steep, but ate free on a comp. Would go back

Center Cut Steakhouse: I had a $100 dinner to be used for reaching diamond status. I was too lazy to go far so I decided center cut with my friend would be ok. Place was decent, didn't order wine or anything to pair with our food. Just wanted Steak.

I ordered 18 ounce New York Steak

My friend ordered the Rack of Lamb

For as small as the portions were the food was actually quite good. Total bill was $96 for the 2 of us. I am not a steak expert by any stretch of the means but I was not disappointed. They left me a card under the room door thanking me for visiting. Our waiter was good and we tipped accordingly.

Diamond Lounge food: Never did make it to Caesers lounge like everyone told me, but I did go to Paris, Planet Hollywood, and Flamingos. Paris was really nice, drink selection was good and the bartenders were great. Flamingo did not have a bar nor did Planet Hollywood that I saw, but the food was decent.

Things I learned. It was tough keeping up with people being in such a large group, there was people I didn't even see the whole entire trip. I have planned another trip in march but this time with only 3 people.
4 Days was the perfect amount of time, I didn't even get to do half of what I planned, but when the 4th day hit I was really ready to go.

Cliffs:
No Molly
Hardly any poker
No hookers or blow

Thanks for reading.

Very nice report.

I, for one, like trip reports that are made after the trip is complete. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Nice report! Better luck at the tables next time...

I know what you mean about not doing all of the things you planned for. As a first time visitor it is pretty overwhelming.
