The Tuscany

This place is located 1.5 blocks off the strip behind Bally's, just past Koval. I stayed there from 6/3 - 6/18 for $915 including resort fees and tax. The rooms are huge suite style with a kitchenette w microwave and fridge, a full sized dining area w/ 4 chairs, a full sitting area with a long comfy couch, coffee table, and easy chair, and the king bed (or 2 doubles if you prefer). There isn't anything Vegas glitzy about the place, but it's clean, not run-down, super comfortable, and quiet.

The pool is really great with very comfortable lounge chairs and plenty of shade. There are a few restaurants which are ok...nothing spectacular, but priced right, and every meal we ate there was acceptable.

The bed was very comfortable, the service people were efficient and friendly, and the casino, while small, has a nice bar with 24/7 food service (try the shrimp cocktail), and has most pit games (no Pai Gow).

The best part about the place is that you really feel like you've 'escaped' the strip when you get there. It's quiet, with low-rise 3 story buildings (like 9 or 10 of them on a campus of sorts), and in general, relaxing. My wife enjoyed it so much that she's wanting to go back there every year now.

Hope this helps.

DDT, Tuscany is an outstanding value for sure. The room I had years back was big and had a nice kitchenette. The location is nice if you don't mind being off the strip.

So which is the shortest walk for my family from the Aria guest elevators to Bellagio?

Apparently the fastest way is to go out the doors that will get you towards Vdara and there is a pathway there that takes you to Bellagio fairly quickly

But I haven't personally tried it. Someone else had posted this in another thread

Go left out of the elevators, head towards Crystals entrance via the Lobby, from there. The quickest, cleanest and most pleasant route, IMO.

Incorrect.

Right turn from the elevators, out the back of Aria, through Vdara and the walkway into Bellagio. Taking the tram from Crystals or walking through the mall and back outside is a much longer journey. Only time anyone should EVER take the tram is if going from/to Monte Carlo and Bellagio stops.

Hey guys,

Going to Vegas for the first time with a friend. We had the bellagio booked but it looks like he may not be able to come afterall. I'm going just to play the main event so was wondering what are some good options for a single room that's decently close to the rio. Budget would be like 100-125 a night. Thanks!

If you have a TR card close to free.

There should be a WSOP code that gets the rooms below your price range too.

Depends on how good you run in the undecipherable Total Rewards system. They are not cheap at all for me except maybe Tue-Thu.

How is the Terrace Studio vs City Room at Cosmopolitan? Have a comp to book on one of those room types.

just back from 6 night stay at Venetian......... played ONE $400 DSE, got poker room for all 6 nights... no issue, no hassle. Hotel and trip report coming...

Anyone stayed in mirage suite recently? Last time I walked through the mirage it looked kinda rough, but I like the location across from venetian for sportsbook. I usually stay in aria/sky suites but for upcoming football trip would rather be closer to wynn/venetian sportsbooks but get no comps those places - just mlife. Got an offer for penthouse suite at mirage but if it's run down/dirty like the lower end mlife place, i'll probably pass. Thanks.

Treasure Island is usually the best bang for the buck in that area if you have a players card they'll waive the resort fee. Mirage is it's twin sister but is probably due for a makeover definitely not the aria but still pretty nice

The suites at Mirage are quite nice, definitely not run down. It won't be as nice as Sky Suites, but that's setting the bar pretty high. Definitely good value.
