when wsop.com first hit the scene i earned my diamond card and only used it once or twice for that entire year.

now, a few years later, i have earned my diamond card again.

i intend on getting as much mileage out of this card as i can because i am a common busto working fool and also because i am upset with wsop.com for not giving me a bonus because i did not "opt in" to the promotion. they must be punished!

to anyone who is experienced in diamond lounges - i know i'm allowed to bring a +1 inside with me...

let's say a 2+2er posted in this thread that he would like to get crunk for free inside the caesars diamond lounge and i meet him there. if i join him for one drink and then leave, will my +1 get kicked out? or can the +1 stay for several more drinks?

i know about the free shows, line cutting, celebration dinner, resort fees, etc, but please use this thread to share any other unadvertised or otherwise special diamond perks.

I just got Diamond from WSOP as well. The celebration dinner is just a $100 voucher that you have to ask for at a promotions kiosk. You can use it in any of the TR/casino sponsored places.

The diamond lounges cost $10 comp dollars/1000 Reward Credits (cruel) from what I can gather . . . unless you've earned 25k points in a year. I'm trying to find some sort of a loophole around this, as I really wanna check it out now that I'm diamond, but I have a grand total of 0 Reward Credits, and I don't play any table games.

Btw, what are the rates for earning comp dollars with poker? I actually want to use this lounge but 1000 reward credits just seems way too hard to reach.

vegas diamond lounges are free

I actually seen diamond people bring more than +1 in.....just be nice to the person in front and they will most likely let you bring 2 or 3 in.......also take advantage of the free shows!

If I use my visa card enough to earn Diamond Status, is there any less benefit than if I earned it the old fashioned way on tables and slots? Is it worth it to be Diamond? Thinking of getting Total rewards visa and the 10k bonus offer. Any thoughts?

Auggie Im platinum from WSOP.com. I generate about 2k apps per month, so I will make diamond next summer. (I only started wsop.com midyear this year came over from Ultimate)

You only earn Reward Credits by using the Visa card. As far as I know, you can only accrue Tier Credits, which is how your status is determined, by playing in the TR casinos. Every once in a while, they will send you an email that gifts you some tier credits or gives you bonus tier credits if you meet their play requirements for a certain period.

FWIW, Reward Credits are worth about .01 cents per point. So in essence, it is kind of like a 1% cash back credit card that can only be redeemed at the casinos or in the TR marketplace.

Signing up for it gets you an auto upgrade to Platinum for the year. That's all it ever does re: tiers.

You can make diamond just from playing online? What's with all the people complaining that WSOP.com doesn't get any traffic?

it doesnt get enough traffic. I play all plo8 tables that run plus SnG. That's like 4 tables, during promotions i add in holdem, and playing across 2 different stakes I can only get up to about 12 tables. And do u see how tight the NLH games are?! Not worth playing past a certain level.

This past summer, I used my CET Diamond card to upgrade to mlife Gold at MGM.
Note that this doesn't seem to be a public promotion. And they wouldn't do it at Bellagio; I had to go to the mlife desk at MGM Grand.

Whats the incentive for them? Do they just figure your a degen so they give you their card too?? I'll try this either way.......

At the Starbucks in Planet Hollywood opposite the registration desk, if you show your Diamond card, not only do you skip the plebian line, you get a free biscotti/banana/apple with your coffee purchase.

Diamond card grants access to the spas/gyms at PH, Paris, and Rio, maybe others, and perhaps gym, but not spa at Caesars.

Fresh fruit, water, and canned fruit juices, and other beverages are available in the mini-fridges located in these gyms/spas.

I have heard, but not confirmed, that those properties without diamond lounges have a designated bar where Diamond card holders can get free cocktails at certain designated hours. Cromwell for example.

Man, Diamond actually seems to mean something good in LV. I think best perk in general if you like weekday rooms is no resort fees. It sucks getting a room worth for a few 10s and then paying that same amount in resort fees.
