Ok, it is time for another Golden Saturday NLH Poker Tournament. Next one is April 19th ; noon; in The Grand at Golden Nugget Las Vegas. This is #9 and thank all of you for the continuing support of this these events.

We had to make a small change and I hope nobody minds. We still have the same great structure, the same deep starting stacks and the same buy-in of $125 so all pretty much the same.

What we changed was we…..DOUBLE THE GUARENTEE TO $50,000 !

Same event at the first 8 Golden Saturdays with the same buy-in except we took the 25k guarantee to now a 50K Guaranteed Minimum Prize Pool

Props to the Golden Nugget for these tournaments. The Sunday morning ones have very good structures, as well.

But a $135 Buy in (includes $10 for bonus chips) 12,000 in NCV chips and 30-40 minute levels with a $50,000 guarantee might just be the VERY best structured tournament for us low-mid rollers found ANYWHERE..

I played a few tournaments at several casinos in my first trip to Vegas last summer and I really liked the Golden Nugget's series. My next trip back will probably focus on GN and possible WSOP action (I'm a low-mid roller as well). Definitely looking forward to this schedule so I can start matching up with the WSOP (hope they put Omaha 8 games the same week as the WSOP like last year).

Last year I made my first visit to Vegas since 1998 - man, what a change!! I played a few side events at the Rio, Binion's and the Venetian, but by far the best tournaments I played in were the ones at the Golden Nugget. I recall particularly fondly the 7 card stud HiLo/PLO 8 event, about 10k starting stack, 100+ entrants, 40 minute clock - terrific value.

When the WSOP schedule came out this week I was tempted to get straight on it and book my flights (from UK), but I held back and decided to wait for the GN and the Venetian to post their schedules. Can't wait to see the GN Grand Series Schedule - I will be booking within 24 hours of that going live, you can be sure of that. Roll on !!!!!!
