Thinking of driving to vegas right now from OC (4 hours) for a night. Play some live poker, have a nice dinner, enjoy the drive.

What you guys think of going to Vegas for just one night? Crazy? Stupid? Or why not, you only live once?

I once had a layover there between flights, I had 4 hrs between flights. You better believe I got 3.25 hrs of poker in that day.

Just be careful driving home if you're not rested. I-15 is a boring crappy drive, and in my line of work is notorious for producing some absolutely horrific accidents due to people falling asleep.

But yeah, sounds like a good trip.

I was 2 hours away reaching 200 hours of online poker for the month. After I finished up it was already 2pm. However, after seeing most people say yes just go, I will go soon.

LOL.....Only a person within driving distance to Vegas would ever ask "should I make the 4 hour drive for a day?"

Hell, those of us on the East Coast drive 4 hours to our nearest smoke-filled riverboat to play low stakes poker against the local degenerates just because its the closest poker room.

He lives in OC? He's within 30 minutes of about 4 casinos that have nothing but live poker.

I would definitely start the trip early (say 8am) in the day. That way you can get there, play a decent amount of time, and almost make it back home with it still being the same day.
