I think this may be the right forum if not move it please...

Like the title says I'm going to be there thoses days. I am taking sand to the beach but at least she is letting me do what I want. (Her first time, she is going to explore and do some shopping). I was wondering if anyone else was going out at that time?

I will mostly be playing 1/2 nlhe and dabble in some 2/5 nle and maybe some 5/10 lhe. I will also be playing any tournaments that I can. If anyone wants to meet up at that time hit me up and maybe we can play some poker.

I have been to vegas before quite a few times so I know the area just looking to meet some fellow 2p2er's.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Find the tournament(s) you want to play ahead of time. I went looking on the day I wanted to play and thought I'd found a nice $80, no rebuy tourney, but the structure and payoff schedule was so ridiculous (10 players, 1 winner!) I walked.

You may need to aim for higher buy in tourneys to get a reasonable structure/payoff %.

Was it MGM Grand? Their $80 tourney structure is a joke. Hyper turbo ss poker. Lose one hand and you are sweatin' whether or not you can make it through the 3rd level lol.

I checked out the V deepstack an I am planning on doing that on Friday night. I think it is a $340bi. That is one of the best ones I have found so far. Otherwise I still plan on doing some cash and maybe a mixed game if I can find a good one.

You won't find a better structured $300 tourney than that one.

Tons to choose from daily in this city. There is a new site that launched a couple months ago that seems popular around here lately called Las Vegas Poker Source. It does make planning ahead of time easy.

If you don't mind a local putting in their two cents, check out the new Aria poker room. They have a 1pm daily for $120 and you get 8k in chips, 30 min levels. Plus the new room is phenomenal.

Also Venetian Deep Stacks is going on so you could satellite into those too if you wanted.

Hope you have a good trip

Hope you have a great trip here, and my only advice is to not bother with any tournaments that have 15 minute blind levels. Between the short length of time and the utter slowness of players and dealers alike, it's more like playing craps

I prefer major events or dailies that have 30 min or more blind levels.

I can't add anymore then what the two people who live here already said! Flamingo, MGM and Mirage sngs just suck!! horrible structures.. i'm going to be playing some deepstack over at venetian so shoot me a message on here and we can def meet up. I know a couple other 2p2ers who are playing also!
The 1/2nl at the Mirage is a uber aggresive but easy game too beat..I suggest you take action over there. As for a good 5/10 lhe game, i'm not sure. 5/10 NL over at bellagio is a great game as well!
Aria has an amazing poker room and they play 1/3nl over there..

have a safe trip and like i said, let me know if and when you come to town!

I don't think finding a good tournament should be a problem in february, unless $340 is too steep of a price:
