Fock. I wrote up the initial post and Tapatalk lost the post.

Here’s goes again. Flew into McCarran. On the way through the airport I spotted homeboy snacks which surprised the heck out of since I know the premise of that company — they put ex-cons to work. Little did I figure they had a bakery.



On the flight in I was sitting next to a Chatty Cathy from Birmingham UK. While the conversation was nice enough she put a stop to my original plan of napping on the plane as I did NOT book a room tonight.

As soon as landed I made it over to the Aria and sat down at a 2/5 game. Game lineup was less than ideal as it was pretty reg on an iPad watching movie heavy. I put up with that nonsense as long as I could (40 mins) before I moved over to a 1/3 game which was the nut low as I watched some Israeli guy nit it up beyond belief while trolling people who lost lots. A common thing he would do to berate the players is say something like “what? Why would you call with that? Only stupid people do that.” Total table killer. As much as I could I tried to lighten the mood but this guy was toxic for the table. I doubled him up once and then he took off. Let’s just say I ended the short hour session with way less chips than I started with.

I ended up picking up from the 1/3 and ended back into a semi decent 2/5 game. Good mix of regs and recs.

The initial hour or two were particular frustrating as I was not getting called on river bets after setting up the stage that way.



I checked out burger lounge to which there was an insane line.



I figured I could order at the table but decided on lemongrass instead. They have some delicious Asian food. Went with the beef stew noodle soup. Can’t go wrong with this or the crab curry.

Winded the session up a little, then went over to the bellagio observatory to check the display. Here’s some photos. I don’t know what the theme is but it was pretty cool.

Nope! Your mileage will definitely vary. I actually dislike the 1/2 game at caesars but was passing by coming out of dinner.

I’ve always found the Aria to look nice at night from those stock aerial shots you find on televised shows.

As many times as I have visited Vegas in the last few years I’ve never bothered to look at this stuff until I decided to bother with this TR

It’s my first time at Yardbird at the Venetian and while it doesn’t disappoint I don’t know what the hype is about. Imo there are plenty of better spots to try:
