This is being posted on my phone so excuse any typos

Does anyone have any updates on the fire? Is the 15 still completed shut down?

If so how will we drive back (best detour?) and how long will it take?

Thanks

Google Maps says it's shut down between 215 and just south of Victorville.

Still closed. But if your driving back, 58 west to the 14 south might work.

Take the 58 from Barstow.

They said the 18 and 138 is closed as well

That explains why I couldn't see the mountains this morning. That haze is a bitch.

Heartbroken to see the fire has claimed The Summit Inn Route 66 Diner.

This place was the stone cold nuts for MANY years.

A must stop driving from SoCal to Vegas..

Yeah I was sad to hear yesterday that this was one of the casualties of the fire. Countless drives from SoCal to Vegas for me so this landmark will be missed.

Looks like our decision to postpone our return by one day paid off. The 15 freeway was open and the drive back was super easy today.
