My wife and I enjoyed this past weekend, staying at the Bellagio.
A mixture of gambling, with a modest amount of poker.
Saturday I played the Aria noon tournament. Very user friendly structure,
good turnout of ~ 125. I played pretty snug, gradually built my stack up
to about 24k. Level 6, all in on the turn with AQ on Q high board, lost
to QJ with rivered jack, shortly followed by my KK losing to QJs, all in
pre-flop. That is the way it goes.
Played late session of 1-2 NL at Bellagio. The staff was friendly. They opened a new table quickly. The dealers were friendly. Drink service was fast. No grumpy players.
I know this all sounds atypical, but I had zero complaints. The table was friggin crazy. First hand two all ins, with a J10s vs Q8o,on a failed "steal" but the J10s. Mostly I watched with interest, but picked my spots, for a pretty low risk
300plus, in about 2 1/2 hours. And I quit because I was just tired, fun game though.
We enjoyed V the variety show at Planet Hollywood. Very good bargain.
Wally, and the Russians, plus the TV guy, good stuff. Melinda, the magician, not so much.
line passes from the poker room absolutely rock...............when visiting the
buffet. And the Bellagio water shows seem to get better each year.
Room rate? $99/night,including "the resort fee".
Would love to duplicate this weekend often
