I would've thought that Vegas would be a good place to lose weight, since it's so hot! I guess that's only true during the summers.
Last year I visited in June and in September, and that is the most heat I've ever been in, in my entire life. As a result, I realllly lost my appetite, and I assumed the same would happen to others.
I'm surprised at poster up there somewhere that said people in Vegas are probably more fit than other parts of the US. That's kind of scary, because whenever I'm in Vegas, I notice how much bigger people are (mostly in the gut area) compared to people in Canada. Mind you, my city is the most Americanized city of Canada, apparently, and we are definitely catching up in size. AND, I'm probably mostly seeing tourists when I'm in Vegas, vs. the locals, I guess.
OP - don't you get sick of the buffets? I enjoyed buffets the first couple times I was in Vegas, but I realllllly don't like them whatsoever. Once in awhile I'll go to a sushi buffet, but that's about it. I find the sickness I feel after eating at a buffet really isn't worth it at all. I'd rather eat normal portions of good quality food, than copious amounts of mediocre food AND feel like garbage afterwards.
