Curiously though, OP never referred to the other person as a friend. Only as his guest and as a person he hadn't seen for a while.

Not everyone.

I've been taking an opioid three times a day every day for 16 years and I had never heard of it until this thread.

I went back and reread the explanation post and not only that, gender was never mentioned, lol. Sounds to me like OP brought a hooker back to his room and she ODed.

Still, saving a life trumps getting banned from a casino, no matter who the other person is.

In my personal experience, being barred from a casino is the biggest favor they could ever do for me.
Saves me a ton of money, also don't have to hang out in overpriced smoke filled dens of inequity, surrounded by a bunch of phonies.
Consider yourself lucky.

It's similar to not having a good credit rating.

For most people carrying debt and paying interest on borrowed money that you don't have is nothing more
than a good way to pay extra for a much longer period of time and be in the red costing you much more
in the long run.

Casinos are one of the biggest cons ever. Good riddance.

ETA: incident happened more than 5 yrs ago.
maybe it would be a good time to review this video by actual lawyers on how to conduct one's self in a 'situation'.

Quick update on my letter, it worked! I was called and casino informed me of my reinstatement. So after 6 years I will be back. Speaking to supervisors about 10 times over the years did nothing. Any update op?
