Yeah I play a lot of black chips. Up to 905K tier credits now. I must say the last jump of 100k did cost me though, prior to that it wasn't too bad a year. Unless something really odd happens, I should hit 1 million tier credits, we shall see if there are any hidden perks for it which I doubt.

Received an email from MGM about Status matching. In the past you could match regular Diamond for MGM Gold. Seems you need Diamond Plus now.

Is status matching only for new members or you can status match even after being a member for years?

I was a low level member of MGM rewards for years, I spend most of my gambling time in Caesar's casinos where I'm Diamond.

I was able to match Diamond to Gold last year with no issues.

They told me this year that it is only for new members.

Nope. Table games. Unfortunately I’m nowhere near a CR desk till November. The desk manager gave me her card before I left 3 weeks ago. I emailed about 10 days ago for a status update. No reply. I’ll wait a few more weeks and try again. I might even call, thought I’d like to avoid that and I’m not sure what good it would do.

At the end of the day, the points don’t matter right at this moment. They do represent a tier jump from Diamond to Diamond+, though, so I’m definitely going to fight for them. I was there for 12 days on the first leg of my WSOP trip and gamed on 10 of those days, including the three in question. If they don’t give me these points I will definitely escalate things.

Yeah there has to be some suit that has to pretend to care about you and get this fixed.

This is how you can tell the casino industry is built on addiction/mental illness. No other industry would survive where they openly show such disdain for their customers.

Yeah they are in one of their casinos on a Tuesday or Wednesday night gambling it up. Just give them the multiplier automatically
