Buffets??? Buffets???

#1: Bellagio ainec. I'm going to leave a big gap below this line to emphasize just how awesome the Bellagio is.

#2: Wynn

#3-#4: Mandalay Bay and Spice Buffet at the Aladdin. I haven't been to Spice since the PH changeover but I heard it was still around and still as good as it used to be.

---- Everything below this line just plain sucks in light of the fact that Bellagio is just so ****ing awesome. If you can't afford to eat at the Bellagio buffet skip a meal to save up for the Bellagio buffet. If you want some variety in your buffets, go to the Bellagio buffet twice and just hit the left side the first time and go to the right side the second time. ----

Paris, Cravings (@Mirage), Monte Carlo

---- Everything below this line just sucks period. What are you doing in Vegas if you even consider eating here? Just stay at home and go to Hometown Buffet. ----

Luxor, Excalibur

Just returned from Las Vegas. My Wife claims that the TI buffet ($26 dinner) is %150 better than the PH ($40 dinner) buffet. I only ate at the TI-buffet so I can only comment that it was much cheaper and very good. I ate way too much. I will make a point next trip to go there again, but eat
sensibly..

We got a discount for it from the tix4tonight booth at the Fashion Show mall. But had trouble from the Ti "maitre di" in using it. He claimed it was only good until 4. My wife left to get our money back, but re-read the ticket which showed that it was also good for dinner and so forced the Ti "maitre di" to accept it. Meanwhile I had returned with a comp from the poker-room which for some reason you can use with discounts. So I went back to the poker room and they put the comp back onto my card no-trouble. (I have only high praise for the Ti-poker room staff.)

Concierge at PH told me that the two buffet's of the Caesars properties to avoid are: IP and Harrah's.

Sams town has good cheap seafood buffet on Fri nights, ~$17 w players card. Full clusters of crabs not cold single ones like a lot of buffets in town. M resort is good everyday of week, Aria is solid, Mirage is good but overpriced. Id say M is my fav, but ive never been to Wynn or Bellagio yet so take it for what its worth.

I've yet to hear anyone say anything complimentary about the IP buffet.

My wife and I love seafood, and were extremely disappointed in the quality of the seafood. And I think that the quality of Paris' breakfast buffet has gone down considerably over the past few years; it's still good, but no longer above everything else.

Really, no reason for anything other than the Bellagio.

I thought the TI buffet was marginal at best and way over priced. A $8 Asian buffet in southern California is better.

I have been to Wynn buffet and thought it was excellent (compared to any of the CET buffets), but never been to Bellagio. What makes Bellagio so much better than Wynn, for those of you championing it?

Harrah's buffet is ok imo. But it is nothing to rave about. It's just average.

Well didn't need someone to tell me not to eat the IP buffet. We were considering the buffet of buffet deals and asked which were the worst of theses. I just reported to 2+2 what her response was.

I know everyone seems to think PH is a great buffet, however, when I went there the first week of February I thought it was average to below average. A lot of the food was old and had been sitting there a while and the selections seemed very limited (one or two entrees per Ethnic station, the rest were just sides).

Maybe so, but maybe it has gotten better. I wouldn't know. I've never been to a southern California $8 Asian buffet. I would however expect to pay more on the Las Vegas Strip.

I am just reporting my experience.

I was surprised that she liked the TI buffet better than the PH buffet. This
seemed contrary to what I have read on 2+2. Maybe TI has gotten better
and PH has gotten worse. Maybe our selections at the buffet were different
than yours.

My wife wanted to eat at a buffet for the vegetables. Me I try to avoid any restaurant with the word "Buffet" in the title. I have a buffet at home. If I am going to pay for a meal I want the service.

The only other Las Vegas buffets I remember are Main Street Station, Golden Nugget, and the Plaza back in 2006. Ti was better than the Plaza and comparable to the others. I think for the price we got with the discount for $20 it was pretty good all things considered. But let me emphasis one point.

All things change. What may be good one month may not be good the next! For example there used to be a nice deli near the TI-poker room that I liked in 2008 now its a pizza shop.

See this is what I am saying. Things change. Don't be so quick
to judge the present by the past. Its only an indicator. Its why need to continue to post current updates.

P.S. I was also there the first week of February.

Ginseng 3 at the IP is pretty good, but I don't think I would recommend much else, including staying at, the IP.

ive been to a lot of buffets since living out here though some ive only been to once...most of the info ITT is accurate imo, however the wynn buffet is definitely better than bellagios all things considered even though it costs a couple bucks more....better nicer salad bar, more crab legs, fresh pasta station, italian meats, etc...
Bellagio has kobe beef though and good sushi and is a very good buffet 2nd place for sure....all the others are a cut below there and the wynn..
others i like...
*Paris dinner is pretty good, good crablegs and pasta, decent seafood, not much of a salad bar but the crepe station is great for desert...havent had their breakfast..
*Ph is pretty good, good combination and selection of everything....ditto for RIO though didnt love it as much...
*M is very good as noted, though far away...
avoid:: IP (never had, im sure it sucks as nobodys ever said otherwise) Flamingo (very meh) Harrahs (breakfast is ok, havent had dinner) luxor, excal, caesars (overrated and never heard a good thing, people have even walked out its been so bad) and mirage very overrated and meh....
I have a zillion comps at mgm grand and its not very good either especially for the price they gouge the tourists on, food isnt bad but very average overall..

I tried out the 24 hour harrah's buffet during xmas and went to IP, harrah and caesar. All three where marginal to below average.

But Riviera was even worse, everything I tried was uneatable. Never had food so bad.

Hope your gambling didn't run that bad. The top three Harrah's buffets are Paris, PHo, and Rio. The middle set are Flamingo, Harrah's, and Caesars. IP deserves a special place at the bottom. You managed to go 0 for 3. (0 for 4 if you include Riviera.) Good thing Sahara closed their buffet or you might have visited that one, too, and gone 0 for 5.
