One player opens for $15, one caller and I make it $45 from SB with AQ. First player calls and next player then raises to $130. I call and other player calls.
Flop is 235 rainbow we all check. Turn Jack and I decide to lead for $215. First player calls and second player folds. River is an off suit 4 and I jam $540 effective.
He starts talking about how this is so sick etc etc and eventually calls with 54. Just a lazy $1.9k pot!
Nice catch! But isn't that a pretty small 3! from OOP with a caller in the hand as well? In that spot I'd probably make it 70 to go.
Just my $0.02, which is actually even more worthless since Canada got rid of pennies years ago.
You’re absolutely right. As I was typing it, I was thinking “****, that’s a really pathetically small 3 bet out of position”. Maybe the other player in the hand limped and then cold called and I recalled the hand incorrectly.
Out of the game for $2165 from a $1k buy in. One nice bink but on the other side of the ledger, I did have AA cracked twice in the session.
Now off to MGM for some light gambling and then some CCR for Craftsteak with guitarist68 and Watbri.
Very nice! How did the MUG compare to WSOP/Rio/Aria/Wynn type cash games? More action? More n00bs? More sharks? Worth the Uber out to a station casino?
I'm not super active on social media, but how does Neeme promote the meet up games? Just curious if there will be another one this coming weekend when I'm in Vegas.
Action was mainly loose and often aggressive. Lots of straddles and double board bomb pots and many pots over $1k. That said, the volume of 3bets was less than most $2/$5 games, but overall, definitely looser than regular strip games at the same stakes.
Andrew and Brad both promote via their Twitter and Instagram accounts and there is also a MUGs Facebook page.
IMO, definitely worth playing but be prepared for some higher than normal levels of variance.

Bink bink bink
Very, very nice.
I hope you beat the jetlag soon.
I find going to bed after putting extra money in the safe helps me sleep. I hope the same is true for you too.
Credit card roulette at Craftsteak and we play it so that the first card picked by the waitress is NOT paying, second card picked is NOT paying and the card left is the one that is on the hook for the bill. Waitress comes along and picks the first card; it’s mine
Before picking the second card, guitarist68 and Watbri decide they’re gonna chop and take half the bill each.
What is the white blob in the pans of steak? I'm a vegetarian so thankfully that is the closest I'm gonna get, but I am curious.
Thanks for the insight on the MUG. I always thought the players would be better than average, but maybe they play looser from the combo of party vibes and wanting to get on the vlog.

This jetlag thing is a joke. Yesterday, I slept for 10 hours straight and slept so well that I was late to the planned midday rendezvous with guitarist68 and Watbri. I was confident that jetlag had been beaten and was merely a memory and story on this trip report.
Despite eating better yesterday, drinking less alcohol and coffee, and making it to bed by a very reasonable 2am, jetlag has come back with a cruel vengeance today. I woke at 4.30am feeling as if I had had a full night’s sleep and despite my best efforts, I couldn’t get back to sleep. I’m now downstairs in the casino planning on giving it another half an hour before trying again. Quite simply, jetlag is a bastard.
The plan for today, whether I get more sleep or not, is to do a little bit of shopping late morning whilst Watbri plays golf with a local friend. We’ll probably get in a game somewhere on the strip for a couple of hours in the afternoon before heading off to the Orleans, via Fukuburger, for their 8 game tournament this evening. Tomorrow is the $1.5k WSOP 2-7 TD and as Planet Hollywood has decided to hold their 2-7 TD tournament this year after the WSOP event, it’s the only chance I have to work off any rustiness in that variant of the game.
Fukuburger has been on my list of places to try for a number of years. It seems to always get great reviews and I have never managed to get to it to try it out. Anyone have any specific recommendations for what to eat at Fukuburger or shall I just go with their signature burger?
That’s it for now. Gonna go and give this sleep thing one last try.
A gentle game of $1/$3 to begin the day in the Bellagio. For some reason, our small stakes game is in the high limit area in the room - the adjacent table is using black chips for blinds
