I have an M-Life and Total Rewards card in my name, and I've never used the discounted hotel rates available. I was going to book one of them, but I don't have a credit card in my name. Can I use my girlfriend's credit card to book the hotel, or is it a requirement to use a credit card in the name of the reward card's holder? We are going together, so I will have my ID and Rewards Card with me, and she will have her credit card with her at the time of check-in.

Any credit card is fine for reserving room AND check in. For check in credit card holder has to be there.

If it's a real big issue create a total rewards card/account online, use that number as a secondary/companion card number and voila, you get the discount under your girlfriend's name.

You shouldn't have a problem booking it with your GF's card. Usually they just take the first nights charge as a deposit at time of booking. When you check in you can even pay in cash if you want. Some hotels also require a deposit that you can either put on a CC or put down in cash at time of check in.

Some hotels, (Ballys, Flamingo and a few others) don't even require a deposit at check in but if you don't leave a deposit then you can't charge to the room and get stuff comped off before check out.

yeah, when i checked in at harrahs, and ballys, they did not even ask to see my credit card. I booked online through total rewards. but like king said, you cant charge stuff to the room, which i did not plan on doing anyways.

If you book with her CC and your TR/M-Life card, you'll *both* need to be present.

I agree with the previous poster - just have her sign up for a card and let her deal with it. Crossing the names on the reservation is possible, but more work than it's worth.
