Aren't pretty much every poker room by the sports book?

Bally's has a sportsbook. There's a bar right next to it and a mini-food court across the hall.

Bellagio is much closer to Bally's and like I mentioned above, is right next to the poker room, a chill video poker bar and the Snack Bar, so you really can't go wrong at the Bellagio.
+1 Bellagio

Thanks for the advice. We'll probably get to the B early and try and reserve some seats

It has to be Aria for sheer viewing and lounging aesthetics. Not the biggest, but if I was Bill Gates---this would be my sports/tv den.

LVH has the best comps and betting options juice is the same except a few books rip you off on ML juice I think coast casino and TI

Tropicana is a good place to watch nice tvs and not very crowded plus an extra tv in your seat and cantor live betting on your screen

I've always loved the atmosphere at Caesars for big events like the Olympics, World Cup or Super Bowls.

Just following up from my weekend out there...

We got to the Bellagio sportsbook early on Sunday (around 8am) and talked with the sportsbook manager. He happily gave us 3 reserved signs with our names to put up at any vacant horse betting chairs (on the left side of the sportsbook). We tipped him $20 total and left to grab some breakfast. When we got back there were no issues with people sitting in our seats and they didn't check all day if people were sitting in 'their' reserved seating.

Drink tickets are given for each $125 bet at the window at the same time (so if you make 2 $50 bets, then a 3rd later, they won't give you a ticket).

If I had to do it again, I would recommend going to the Bellagio or checking out the Venetian book. The redone V sportsbook has great viewing angles to all of their screens and has digital betting monitors at every seat which you can reserve for as little as $250 in your account.

Thanks for all of your advice! Hope this helps someone else too!

what rm81 said about LVH & pointspread bets (should ALWAYS be -110 or some variation like -120/EV anywhere) and also Cantor books (Palms, Venetian, Cosmopolitan, etc.) have pretty decent moneylines (less juice) compared to other casinos. MGM & Caesar's have the worst moneylines (more juice) in general.

should also mention LVH offers betting on some sports that you can't wager on in any other book in town like Australian Rules Football and many top division soccer leagues (ex. Russian, Germany, Mexico, etc.). if you can't find a sport to bet on at LVH you won't find it anywhere else in LV either.

Has anyone been to any of the books downtown? I was walking past Golden Nugget's the other day and it looked surprisingly decent, although I have no idea how busy it gets. Thinking it or some other book downtown may be a possible option for days where the strip books are packed.

Nugget is decent downtown but pickings are pretty slim downtown.

I wandered into the Downtown Grand the other day. Sports book looked small, but they had all super-bright and new TVs. If you get there early enough on game day, it could be a great atmosphere.
