Sorry if this is a stupid question, but as a Brit I have no real conception of Spring break. also sorry for Making a "what is Vegas like in xxxxx" thread, as they annoy me.

Went to Vegas last August with my buddy, and now my girlfriend wants to go after hatin on gambling for years, but then going to a casino and pretty much loving blackjack.

Now it's time to go with her, only problem is she's a teacher, so can't take any time off outside of our school holidays. We have been looking at going in April from like the 5th to the 12th, but is Vegas going to be filled with drunken idiots for like a week? When I say this I mean like college drunken idiots, not the usual drunken idiots, they're no problem.

didn't know if Vegas was big for spring break, as you pretty much need to be +21, but didn't know what ages people in college etc are in the US.

I am sure if you stay at one of the more upscale hotels (Wynn, Venetian, etc) you will not find that many college kids. If you stay at TI, look out!

Vegas really is not much different during spring break than any other time. It's a crappy destination for spring break - it's expensive, there's no easily accessible large body of water like in Florida or Havasu, and everyone is someone strict about under-21 boozing because it puts gambling licenses at risk.

It is expensive that time of year because the weather is perfect.

Vegas is slow right now and still had over 3 million visitors in August. It has the capacity to absorb a lot of drunken idiots.
