your probably right. When I was listening to the podcast the way he was talking about it, basically laughing about how horrible he was but yet still got asked to be an instructor, it just made me a little peeved considering i just shelled out loot for the site.

As long as he was teaching valuable material, I don't think it should be an issue.

But you'd have to get the answer to that question first, since it doesn't appear to be in this thread or in that podcast.

ChicagoRy,

You're right, no where in the podcast did he state he was giving bad advice. This by no means was meant to be a knock on Nick, he is obviously a very good player. I only watched a part of the first video and his videos are all cash play videos, which i was not interested in, so im not sure if he was giving good advice. He did talk about using available tools, like ptr to see who winning players are and who to stay away from, so i guess thats good advice. Like i said when listening to the podcast it peeved me, thats all. I guess i should be less focused on the fact that he was a losing player at the time and be more focused on the information he is providing, cause like the poster before said pokervt probably would not allow non-informative content on their site.

I'm merging this thread into the training site one, perhaps some of the guys that have seen PokerVT's videos can weigh in on the quality of this coach.

Unless there's a major problem (horrible losing advice given), I don't think it'll warrant a stand alone thread from here on out.

But it's fine to ask these questions. Asking questions not only forces bad training sites and malicious people into the public eye, it also forces good training sites to stay on top of everything.

I appreciate the relatively cool demeanor in this thread, rather than taking an accusatory or immature approach, which is very counter productive.

I don't want to call anyone out but there have been a few instructors across all of the training sites that have put out questionable content. I think aejones said that you should take any instructors advice with a pinch of salt. I interpret this to mean that you compare it with what you already believe to be correct and come to your own conclusion. Vids are still a great learning aid.

You'd be better off posting this in the DeucesCracked forum for answers. But we do not have any server issues at this time. It's likely your connection that is slowing down the stream.

Try to update your web browser and do a full Windows update and restart your computer. We recommend using FireFox. If you are using Flash, make sure your are using the latest version of Adobe Flash (download it for free at Adobe).

If you're having problem streaming, wouldn't it be better to download the file and watching it on a player like WMP or VLC instead?

I was making my daily check on leggo poker web-site and i spotted that they have new coach - nutsinho.

check his profile - http://www.leggopoker.com/coaches/nutsinho/

anyways, are games so tought that guy who's considered on of best high stakes players on stars joins training site to make instuctional videos? of course this is good way to get students who will pay him for coaching etc, but why would someone who is crushing 25/50 games join training site and risk to give away something from his play?

i checked PTR and it seems like nutsinho isn't doing very well lately:

according to PTR he lost around 55K yesterday playing 25/50. does he retire and is going to live from coaching? many unanswered questions here.

I think you are looking too much into it . Could say this about 20 different players who have made videos for years

Pretty sure if I was on a big downswing, getting easy money for making training videos would seem pretty damn attractive.

It's way more profitable doing private coaching than videos.

Many of the top players already do it though.

I think its kind of shady that these websites charge a good chunk of money and then false advertise their product.

And before I get flamed for signing up for pokervt in the first place and not leggo, or pokersavvy, i signed up cause they were running a deal for 3 months which i will end once the 3 months are done and to specifically watch Jon Turners (pearljammer) videos.
This happens on most poker sites. I would say at least 10-20% of all coaches on nearly any site (including leggo which I am a member of) are poor coaches who shouldn't be there. Some of them are on terrible downswings and shouldn't even be playing poker.

He's only up like a million. Clearly on countdown to busto and joining a training site is his last resort to avoid living on the street.

yea these ppl on these training sites that play the highest of stakes making videos are morons....no clue how much he makes, but realistically how much could he be making per vid? even at 1500 a video, which is pretty damn high, still not worth it imo....these training site coaches that play hs cash are very naive to what these videos are doing to their long term edge
