I dunno if it is true, but it sounds like what the crowds are claiming, so taking on a few known 2+2 grinders instead of Lee might expose this ... or it might prove otherwise.

Sounds like fun tho, imo.

I thought it was a good video, nothing great but pretty solid.

But while I understand that those are all valuable concepts, I still stand by the statement that I could have gotten them all from a 3 year old muddywater mid stakes video. My point was that Isaac is likely a great poker player not because he knows how to do all of the solid things that all good players do, but probably because he does/thinks a little more. By that I don't mean he has FPS or is some ultra-lag, I just mean he probably thinks about the game on a little higher level than most mid-stakes grinders like myself do. so when I tune in to see a video by menlo I want to see or hear about concepts about the game that are new and really valuable to me as a solid midstakes regular.

If you want to have someone asking questions and trying to draw that stuff out of him during a video you would be better off with someone like tannenJ, silent, or Brystmar or heck even a member who plays midstakes games like myself. Someone who can ask advanced 6max NL questions, but probably still has some leaks that a high stakes player might have plugged already.

Another idea would be to take advantage of what Isaac is probably best at, which is having skill in a variety of games. Instead of setting him in a live play format let him give a powerpoint discussion about the basics of some other games and how he went about learning the game. What levels he thinks you should start playing and some common and interesting spots that you should understand when you jump in the game. Even some basic breakdown of the math would be very valuable. Or if its his mental approach that makes him so strong in tournies and cash then have him discuss during a live play session (ie maybe one table so he could focus on his talking points) about how he approaches tournies vs. cash what the similarities and differences are.

I just think this process of creating vids that your members will really like would be much better if you put yourself in their shoes. I took some marketing classes while getting my Masters and one of the most important things we learned was you can't just try to put something different that you think could be interesting and hope you customers will like it. You have to look at things from their perspective and find a niche or void that they want filled, or never even new that they needed filled until you provided something.

Thats the what I felt about CTSs firt video on the site. So many of the concepts he talked about I had never even thought about, but immediately I wanted to know more because I realize this was something infinitely valuable to my game. That is why Taylor's old vids were so good, and why everyone loves Raptors vids.

hope this helps in some way.
agree with this

i think like veryone knows by know that u should fold K9o from the BB and how to play 33 from the blinds, not that it shouldnt be repeated, but thats really verneer 10NL stuff...

mybe its time to brainstorm and try some new approaches to the teaching concept, i mean its internet the possibilities are endless
the goal is teaching right? not just making videos for the sake of making videos?
the videos are just a tool, a great tool none te less
but pls stop making videos just for the hell of it.. nobody is impressed if u say u got 1000ish videos in ur library

u should swallow your pride and learn from deucescracked they are the real market leader atm, i dont care if u got more customers or not

btw i have the feeling u guys just ask menlo hey make a vid for this friday and he chooses as he pleases and u dont care as long as he delivers. beeep wrong approach.
