haha...ok sounds good. for a minute i thought you were going to have to have like 6 $40 players, but it looks like some bids were made since then.

obviously i didn't expect to get all the guys i bid on.

i wouldn't want 6 $40 guys, but i could see something like 4 and then a bunch of scrubs and pray my studs carry me.

Would it be horribly unfair of me to say that you can't bid in the auction while you are on the clock in the draft?

seems fair to me

If a prospect is called up to the majors in say sept and you employ him, but he doesn't achieve rookie status how is this handled the following year, and how does it affect his 3 year rookie contact?

id say swing it the other way

you can always bid in the auction but once you do you are skipped in the prospect draft

I think if you sign him to a contract you sign him to a contract

yes it would be.

i just realized i am on the clock. i dont have time to check all the time, and its much easier to bid than find the prospect I want.

i have also been on the clock for a grand total of 25 minutes I believe.

maybe no bids if you go past your 24 hours, but an 8 round prospect draft shouldn't really be a concern when 1st pitch is a month away, and these guys aren't filling spots on your active roster right now anyways.

It's so hard to resist spending lots of money early. Very happy with my two players though.

No doubt, love my two players but already dropped like 1/3 of my budget.

OK, we'll leave things alone for the moment, but please don't forget the prospect draft as well. You can always do your homework when you see your turn coming up soon, so you are ready to go when you are up. I would like to have a week or two for people to look at rosters/make trades before the season starts if possible.

Once you sign him, he is on a three year contract, and is part of your roster. Rookie status is only relevant in deciding at what point you have to either sign or release a player.

Is a rookie contract guaranteed for 3 years? Meaning if you drop him are you on the hook for $3 for 3 years?

Should be sorted, but you should have a modify button next to each post, and you can edit the thread title if you modify the OP.

Is it bad that I have had buyer's remorse on everyone I have gotten?
