A lot of times this just a gut feeling decision that you are going to have to make. If you have any history with this player try to use that to your advantage and make a decision based on your opponents style of play. It is very possible that the v does not have a made flush and is just raising to see where you are at with this board. If you have no history with this player I would call at least the first street, folding later to any shoves or any more diamonds that might get peeled off. But it all depends on how you want to play the hand and if your the type of player that takes these risks. Keep in mind, he called your pre-flop 3 bet so he is likely sitting with a made pair or two over cards to your jacks.

yeah, so you prefer call vs shove on flop? what do you do on blank turn cards then?

Nothing notable means I would just jam. If he has had any hint of spazziness / aggro / trigger happy FPS I would flat call and collect my winnings on the turn.

I must be a nit.
I feel like we are either slightly ahead or miles behind and im not sure how often we get to show this down when we are ahead.
And what blank turns are there?
Any Q+ is an overcard,
any diamond is game over for us
any 9, T, J, 4, 5, or 6 is scarey,
if the 8 hits he can rep Ad8 or could be overplaying top pair or "protecting it"
Sets have us drawing slim and we may not even try to gii when we bink our 2 outer especially if its the Jd
I think the depth we are at and our being OOP makes this a fold.
I can say that JJ is gonna have an awful rough time of it against my flop raises in this spot. If im button you're either drawing dead or thin already or youre going to face tough decisions on most run outs. Maybe im too aggressive though?
We are too deep to get it in on the flop too or id think raising would be an option.
I think its a fold
