Also, most of the links ITT haven't been added yet. The problem is, I'm not going to have the time to look at them all. More importantly, I wouldn't be a good judge of what threads qualify for "best of" in forums I don't read. My suggestion would be to ask the moderator(s) of the forum(s) in question to add them to the Best of 2p2 forum. I'm going to post in the Mod forum requesting that people look through this thread and add the good stuff.

The above doesn't apply to 2+2 party trip reports; go ahead and post those here and I'll add the good ones.

the HSP Stats Database thread in the Televised Poker forum is a great effort and have been enjoyed by many.

It's not a 2+2 link per say but its chock-full of about 300 of the best ones ever created on this site. It's in a couple FAQ's etc...

It seems like the "The Best of Two Plus Two" is kinda just full of crap. Maybe that's intentional or reflective of the people involved in moderating it. But this site basically revolutionized the way poker (specifically NLH) is played and to have that as a "The Best of Two Plus Two" seems kinda like a joke to me.

But I'm here for strat not lolz.

The original Supbro thread from back in the 2004-2005 timeframe?

It was silly, but took life of its own and some long-standing 2+2 references were born there, not least, the term "Supbro" itself. Silly or not, it's a little piece of 2+2 history. All-county '95, the trout, etc.

Recently tried to find it (or at least references to it) using the search engine, no luck.

Maybe it's a piece of 2+2 history which is completely faded into the mists of time...

I think since Kevin B's Vegas Knights thread has officially been locked down after 2yrs it should get put in the HOF.

It hasn't been updated since April. The forum was very useful for me, and I imagine others, in finding gems in forums we don't usually visit.

But now there is simply no reason to go there.

It'd just be really cool to see an occasional update.

Agreed, although we rely on you guys for part of this - making suggestions. But rather than directly add them myself, I like to get the mods to do it as they know what makes a good thread in their own forums better than I do. We have a thread like this in the mod forum which I've been meaning to bump - I'll get on that now.

~2 years ago I read a thread about someone from this site who spent time travelling through Africa/that part of the world. It was one of the best stories I have read and certainly one of the best on this site.

It was several parts. I remember him living as a rafting guide as well as working for/owning a bar in Africa/that part of the world. There was also a friend of his who killed himself after testing negative for an STD. Hoping these highlights will spark someone's memory.

I also believe his name was in Green.

Spent some time with the search function but didn't find desired results.

Anybody have a clue what I'm talking about?
