I think it happened 3 summers ago. I played poker for almost a year, mainly in a weekly homegame with some friends. Since I was in my last year at an art school and had to make this senior year 'graduation task' (some sort of practical assignment), I knew I had to stay away from online poker or I would never ever succeed. Me knowing I'd be way too hooked!

So anyway... Summer/vacation arrived and finally had the time to focus on online poker. I signed up for one of those free $50 bankrolls, and began playing. The first week I became 2nd in a 5$ donkament (bankrollmanagement my *ss!), good for a +/- $250 boost. I started playing 10$ sng's and 20$-30$ HUsng's, was def. on a heater but at the time I just thought I was reaaaallly good and stuff. In a week or 2-3 I managed to build/donk my roll to approx. 850$ or so. Than weekend showed up, and I came home drunk from a party. I thought 'Let's build it to a 1000$'. Played two 200$ HUsng's and managed to win them both! I woke up the next morning still remembering what I did, and felt happy and king of the f*cking world! Went to a party again the same evening, bragging about my bankroll (we where with a bunch of friends who just started out with online poker, so we discussed it a lot) to impress my friends. Came home drunk again and thought 'Wtf, let's do it big this time'. I opened a 500$ HUsng and was convinced I'd win since I won everything! Lost the match in a little less than 5 minutes, and like 'no way this just happened' I fired up another one, against the same opponent! This one took a little longer, 10 minutes. I lost it again, and was clearly on lifetilt! The rest of my roll I donked away at the highest HUsng's I could play with the current state of roll. 30 Minutes later there was like 65 cent left in my account. I woke up and never felt more disgusted in my life! Bahbah!

I know it's nothing compared to the amounts some of you posted previous to me, but at the time it was sick to win such amounts with online poker in the first place, and than to lose it all was even more sick around here! For me and my friends at least.

LOL. I have been a dealer for 9 years and no one has ever asked for tips back cuz they went busto. If you asked my for tips back, sry bro but I would have to LOL in your face and call you a major degen.

way back when i first discovered gambooling..had no car, talked a buddy to drive me to the Taj for a sick run. I proceeded to run on a sick heater at roulette. Came with 300, got it up to 1200 in 30 minutes betting on odd numbers and 4 way bets, 20$ each.

My degen buddy kept ****ing begging me for 2 blackbirds so he could play blackjack. Being the superstitious degenerate that I was, I told him to **** off and not jinx me til i cleared 3k.
Lo and behold, i run it up to 3400 in the next hour.
I give him 2 blacks and he disappears, but not without telling me Im the best friend in the world before departing, and sounding like a complete degen to anyone within earshot.

At this point, one the pitbosses comes over and asks to see my ID, obv trying to jinx my sick heater...I give it up without looking at him. Im focused on the table like Im Rainman, but its not blackjack. F*ckbag pitboss proceeds to ask the dealer how much ive been crushing. The dealer gives him an estimate and they are pissed cause im betting with 5 dollar chips for 20 a bet and he has to count out my wins in fives. lol
Anyway, I proceed to smash the house for a little over 5k. I ask to color up and cash out. Hit the change machine and change 50+ hundos into 20's and 10's, Hold my sick knot 2 inches from degen buddies face and say, "Lets ****ing roll."
Of course anyone in their right mind would do exactly that. No, I let my degen pal talk me into Blackjack.
Long story short, I end up leaving with 1600.
Pissed, I western union 1400 onto sportsbook.com the very next day.
Proceed to smash the bastards for 1-1.5k hits on 4-game over/under parlays in baseball, betting 100-150 per parlay for 3 days straight. Had my roll up to 6.5-7k.
I jump in the poker room on Day 4, and proceed to obliterate the regs in 30-60 & 10-20 PLO 6-max games. Mind u im talking cash **** the entire time, catching 2 outers way behind, pushing stacks on any OESD's and backdoor flush draws and hitting them vs measly sets and 2 pairs.

In 3 days I amass the roll to just over 16k.
I dont remember the stakes but I decide its a good idea to jump on a high stakes NL Holdem table(my worst game). I tell myself Im gonna double the roll and cash out.
3-handed, mustve been 25-50 or 50-100, dont remember but I do remember sitting with 6-8k or so. Biggest stakes I have ever played. I end up getting it in with AKsooted, villain turns up QJsooted.
Flop = QQJ. OWNED.
I go on ape**** monkey tilt. Felt like I got hit by a ****ing train. Yet immediately bought back in for the remainder of the roll.
Im waiting for the monster to get my money back and ****ing cash.
I look down and see 2 beautiful Queens. Same villain raises, I reraise, he reraises me. I push.
He turns over AJsooted. Really?
The flop brought a beautiful Q, a rag, and an Ace.
He is OWNED. Turn: Ace. He is so Owned.
Of course the river is a Jack for the bigger FH.

Cliff notes: 300 - 16k in a week.
2 hands in 20 minutes: BUSTO.

Lessons Learned: **** Hold em.
Cash out when you know u should.

Here is a story about my last sunday night...pretty degen for me.

So I only have about 1000 dollars left to my name because I am a full-time college student and dont work. This last sunday, there was a big shootout tournament in Wendover, NV. $240 buy-in, 80 players, first place is about 7800 bucks. I drove to wendover, registered because the wendover tournament players are SO ****** BAD I literally cash almost every tournament I play there...not bragging, they are seriously BAD...if any of u have played tournaments in casinos before, ull know what im talking about lol. While im waiting for the tourny to start, I play craps with 50 bucks and immediately turn it into 300. Yay, i won my buy-in! So stoked because I only have 1k to my name..

I did great the first table in the shootout...it came down to me and a guy named Bruce, an older guy who thinks hes good. Hes not good, but hes not bad either...hes a huge nit. I have 16k in chips and he has 9k in chips. He wanted a deal and I told him to give me 60% of the final table chop because of my chipstack and he said ok. Usually, the final table chops the prize-pool in wendover because 2.5k even chop is a lot of money to most people there. I didnt think it was a bad deal at the time even though I know I would have crushed him heads up, I just wanted to play it safe because I was guaranteed 1300 and was happy with that...

This is where **** begins...tournament director says that we need to decide on who goes to the final table...we have a big argument about whos better and who has more experience, than finally it came to just play 1 hand face up. Dealer gives me Q5 and him 54. Board Q4834. Ok bruce, ur on the final table...its most likely a chop anyways so i dont give a ****. Tournament director announces to the whole casino that bruce is the first final table player and i get super jealous....

anyways, while im waiting for the final table to be set, im kinda tilted that I am not the recognized player from the first table and go onto blackjack and lose my craps winnings...(300). Bleh, whatever Im guaranteed 1300.

Final table is set, everybody agrees to a chop .. BUT WAIT....a cash game regular donkey piece of **** changes his mind after looking at the structure and says...NO CHOP....

**** MY LIFE!!!!!! OK BRUCE..U CAN DO IT BUDDY..I HAVE FAITH IN YOU!!!! First hand, QJ sooted and we got the button..great...he raises...SB 3 bets small, BB calls, and he folds...???? cmon bruce stop being such a ****** nit man, ok whatever maybe u were behind. Flop - QJ9.....**** U BRUCE!!!! WTF MAN you had position on 2 cash game donkeys!!! both sb (current chipleader) and bb have Ak...ok whatever...After watching 4-5 hands I couldnt watch anymore, went to the cafe with my friends and ordered food. Every 5 minutes I would stop eating and go check on bruce, watching his chipstack go up and down from blinds...

Well, blinds go up and bruce the huge nit gets eliminated 7th place for 356 dollars having to go all in with A5 vs JJ...i get 200 dollars from him and walk straight to blackjack. Turn 200 to 1000 dollars. Weeee.i should be happy right? HELL NO I WANT THE 1300 THAT I WAS SUPOSED TO GET IN POKER. Lets keep playing!!!! BJ dealers switch, and the guy told me to run while im ahead and not get too greedy...i told him, I will in 10 minutes. Well, I didnt win 1 hand for the next 10 minutes betting 50 dollars a hand....bye bye 1000 dollars...I have like 100 left to my name, **** ME...

Drive home was the worst ever, my friend won 50 bucks and was ****ting his pants he was so happy, I almost pulled over to throw up and jump in front of a semi or something...everything should have been perfect, chop the final table (or at least play in it!) and leave with at least 1k extra in my pocket and be happy I did good in another tournament....but nope, nothing worse could have possibly happened...fml
