Best/worst affiliate managers.

over the months and years we'd have occasion to have dealings with dozens of affiliate managers at various poker sites and affiliate sites.

There is a huge difference in the quality of service and I wondered whether other affiliates would be happy to share their experiences?

From my own experience, in terms of quality of service, speed of response and availability, here are my choices....

Best : Betfred, Purple Lounge.

Worst : William Hill (Affiliates United)

It may not be fair to name the individual account manager at these sites here but if any other affiliates wanted to contact me via PM, that's fine.

I'm sure there will be occasions when someone highlights a site that provides good service when another person's experience may be the opposite so PM'ing the person may result in finding out that there may be different managers involved at the same company.

Just thought it would be a useful experiment.....

Re: Best/worst affiliate managers.

I mainly utilize Cake, Carbon, Bodog, Stars, Party, Cereus and Full Tilt, and I use a major affiliate above me, so I'm not dealing directly with these sites 99% of the time.

I haven't had any major issues aside from one at Full Tilt. They get negative points for poorly resolving an issue and costing me a lot of money. I wouldn't call them "the worst" or "terrible" by any means, this was just one incident in over 12 months of using them. Judging by their growth over the time period, they could very well easily be the largest affiliate, so some hiccups are expected, though not entirely excused.

PokerStars gets a few points knocked off for a lack of clarity, but they are new at this so I'm reserving judgment, as the rest of their brand has been top notch in my experience.

HeyPoker was just a nightmare and many others had the same experience. They gave me an under the table deal to offer then trapped me with their own employee and used it as an excuse to make no payments whatsoever. It seems to be a really amateur operation on every level. Although who knows maybe I've had a bad experience.

As for Will Hill. I don't deal via affiliates utd so can't comment there. The person I deal with is really dead on.

VC - I can't recommend enough. They care about your opinion, are flexible, have competitive commissions and a great brand name behind them.

Full Tilt Poker doesn't provide the rake back - whom is the Rake Back provider? The affiliate?

FutureInsights,

FullTilt transfer you the revnue share and then you can keep it or to transfer capped rakeback - 27% to your players.

Actually, Full Tilt Poker pays the rakeback on behalf of big rakeback affiliates weekly.
